Stayed here from 19/8 for 4 days for a wedding. Full of praise for the staff who truly made our stay so relaxing - from the warm welcome when we arrived, t the good natured bar person who was still smiling at almost 1am with a bar crowded with guests on the eve of the wedding. Breakfast was amazing -... More

Visited the Carlton manor the weekend just gone. Now everybody will always find something to be negative about, but on this occasion I would find it hard and unfair to fault anything about our stay. After a warm friendly welcome and being shown to our room we was given plenty of helpful advice on the surrounding area (by Jo),who like the... More

Found this Hotel set back from the road in its own grounds. Great , pleasant check in and shown to my room which had a good view of the grounds. The rooms were tidy and clean and well presented. The breakfasts were lovely and cooked to order. The staff were extremely welcoming and efficient. I would recommend this Hotel for... More

We booked the four poster room for two nights to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and although the room was lovely we were disappointed to see the mould on some of the window frames and the bathroom tiles, not quite what we had expected. The room was on the ground floor and faced onto the garden which was lovely until... More

As we stepped over the hotel threshhold we were greeted with a welcoming smile from the receptionist who booked us in and then helped carry our cases to our room. It was spacious and comfortably furnished with two large windows looking out to the front of the building. Tea making facilities were provided with a couple of biscuits. Bathroom was... More

The room we had was of a good standard, spacious and all the amenities were fully functioning. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we appreciated the fact they were upfront about timings for an evening meal if we opted to eat there. They offered to recommend alternative restaurants but we found an excellent Indian restaurant (on trip advisor)... More

We stayed over the weekend at the Carlton Manor, and found the rooms to be a good size, with all of the amenities that you could expect. The staff were friendly, and although there was a bit of a wait for breakfast on our second morning, when it arrived it was nice and tasty, and there was a good selection.... More

The Carlton Manor Hotel is conveniently situated right next to the splendid East Anglian Transport Museum. So, have some fun riding trams and trolley buses and then go and have a wonderful tea at the Carlton. At £9.50 this is terrific value and at least £3.00 cheaper than on the sea front in Lowestoft. Served in traditional Victoriana style on... More

Room OK but very noisy, mainly due to there being a wedding going on, seemingly all weekend. Food pricey and mostly warm rather than hot...maybe a plate warmer would be a good idea? Also being told that there was no table for us, as residents, on a Saturday evening only to find the restaurant virtually empty when we got back... More

Stayed only one night but reception was very good, room was spotless and well appointed. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel and there was plenty of choice. Great place to stay and within easy reach of many East Anglian tourist attractions.
