We have stayed here several times and have always been impressed. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. There is quality here, from the rooms to the breakfast. The location opposite the seafront is very convenient.

On one of the hottest days in the year we arrived at Britten House for our second stay. Right next to the sea (which was warm enough to swim in) this B+B has an excellent and convivial host as well as comfortable rooms and a good breakfast to start the day

There was a time when a holiday consisted of driving to the coast, sitting on a beach in the sun while reading a book and having cream tea in the afternoon. Staying in a Bed and Breakfast, usually made out of a grand Victorian house was part of this experience. The seaside towns are somewhat faded, the beaches a bit... More

We stayed in this lovely B & B in Lowestoft last weekend and stayed in the 2nd floor family room. Had great views, lovely clean room, extra little touches like a fan, mini fridge etc made it even better. Warm welcome on arrival and very nice freshly cooked breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Had a very nice stay at this bed and breakfast in Lowestoft. Cooked breakfast was huge! Rooms are nice and clean. Owners were very helpful as well. Good location right by the sea front. Recommend the thai restaurant down the road for dinner.

This is mine and my daughters fifth stay at Britten house! I would never think of staying anywhere else. The rooms are amazing with everything you could want. Lovely and big with en-suite. Breakfast in the morning looking out to sea. You have a choice of Cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurts, fresh fruit juice, so many different teas I can't... More

Another wonderful visit with our elderly mother who enjoyed her stay as my h as us. Ann & Colin are the ultimate hosts where nothing is to much for them. The rooms are large and others have said about the breakfasts but the scrambled eggs are THE best! Will return later in the year.

Beautiful 'B&B' and I had a fabulous sea-view. The owners were lovely and very accommodating. I only stayed the one night on business, but the place was very clean, facilities excellent (even had a free-standing fan in the room, which I needed to use) and the breakfast very good. I managed to park in the street for free, but there... More

Second stay at The Britten and once again cannot fault it. Lovely room with a sea view, superb breakfast. The owner has a great sense of humour and many interesting stories. We will be back. The premises are ideally suited for a stroll along the seafront at Lowestoft and not far from the town centre, Parking is easy.

Cannot recommend this Hotel enough - ideal location with a car park opposite (pay but free 6pm to 8am) or free parking on the street, short stroll to the beach, close to the Town. Beautifully furnished, attention to detail in every aspect, lovely fluffy towels & bed so comfortable. Breakfast - after day 1 having the full English we were... More
