We were grateful to drop our large bag off at midday, well before our allocated check in. We'd booked a one night stop over before the morning ferry. Knowing our bag was secure, with our rucksacks ready we set off to check out the unique Lymington boutiques, then off to explore around the Salt Marshes towards Millford on Sea. Our... More

We arrived mid afternoon on a Friday for a 1 night stay in a standard double room. We were very happy with the room and ensuite. The vibe in the hotel was very relaxed and friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. We ate out so cannot comment on the food in the evening, but the cooked breakfast was... More

I fell in love with hotel from the moment I walked in. It has a charm about it that is undeniable. Our visit didn't get off the best start after a confusion with a promised upgrade and then a severe lack of communication about problems the hotel were experiencing. However the reason I'm not dwelling on this is because it's... More

Thought the hotel was really nicely furnished and a number of different touches made it an interesting place - had a very large room with four poster bed and four piece bathroom which was great Late bar still serving when we got in after midnight and breakfast was very nice Only (minor) negative was the shower which wasn\'t very powerful... We stayed here for only one night and were allocated a garden suite with French Windows leading out onto a private south facing patio-perfect. The breakfast is table served and cooked to perfection. Lots of nice touches in the bedroom, lounge and bathroom, making a special stay for us. We will return.

The hotel room was very quiet but full of furniture which is not necessary. The bed pillows were too soft and need replacing. Other facilities were fine. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel is ideally situated within the town which has lovely restaurants.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for two nights in a red letter gift from my late mum in law. It was my husbands birthday whilst we were there and the restaurant staff made it very special. If the hotel wasn't busy we would have received an upgrade to a suite but it was very busy. My disappointment was short... More

During visit to New Forest decided to stay at Lymington as I had been there several times when working and looked for hotel online. I chose the Stanwell Hotel in the high street. First view is not overly impressive but the moment you enter the foyer the image changes. Reception are very helpful and the ground floor room was well... More

This is what they call a boutique hotel! Does that mean a load of second hand furniture! Noisy room at the front bad nights sleep. Lymington is lovely but look for better value. They also ran out of cooled wine which is criminal on a summer evening.

Stayed here for one night, brilliant hotel! Staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Florin who looked after us for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the desserts. Would definitely stay again in the future!
