This was the second visit this week, first was for a cream tea and this time for a full lunch. Good food and friendly staff and importantly very accepting of dogs. Not a cheap visit by any stretch but the service was good and quality food so I’d definitely visit again.

"Rooms to the rear are slightly smaller but have the advantage of a balcony"
"No traffic so quiet, except in the corridor early evening when I heard a man shout "Oh yes!!!""
"If you, like me, love old, historical and quirky with creaky floorboards ask for room in the old part of the hotel."
"Just avoid the place"
