We dropped in here, soaked to the skin having been caught in a downpour, just for a hot drink. Even though there was a wedding reception going on, and we were dripping everywhere, we were made most welcome. So much so, that next time we are visiting the Forest of dean, we will certainly stay here.

Stayed for 1 night in one of the chalets, clean and tidy with tea/coffee facilities. Very quiet area so had dinner here, quite pricey but well cooked fresh ingredients (8oz sirloin £15). Breakfast next morning was lovely, choice of cereal, yoghurt, toast and juice. Full English or any variation cooked to order.

Good place to eat and stay a little on the expensive side but other than that I can't really fault it. Been to wedding here in the past and it was excellent. Very pretty location and the rooms are very nice, well worth visiting if in the area and taking an hour or two to relax.

We were at a loose end for Sunday lunch and a roast was on offer which my partner fancied. She was very happy with it. It turned out to be a pleasant outing... Lots of canoeists about enjoying the warm weather. YMMV

Great food, we had our evening meal and breakfast was included the following morning, really enjoyed both meals. The staff were friendly & welcoming too. We stayed in the chalet rooms, which are a bit tired and could do with a bit of fresh paint, but otherwise perfect for a good nights stay, our bed was especially comfy and at... More

With a large group of 12 for lunch we received very prompt and helpful service despite the pub being busy. The food was of excellent quality with very generous portions and good value for money. The Wye Valley Brewery beer on offer was superb, and there was a good choice on the menu.

Came back to have lunch here after we had the most amazing steak sandwich about 8 years ago! We were met by the same local cheery lady behind the bar! This pub is a perfect stop if you are doing a full day canoe trip! Food and atmosphere is great! Hope to see you again!

Stayed here last week. The meals were outstanding. Only complaint I had was the size they were huge, but some people would probably be happy with this. The staff were extremely friendly my sister and I had taken my dog, who is ill at present and they could not have been more helpful. Even when we had to leave one... More

We stopped for lunch when passing so cannot comment on the hotel side. As stated below it is on the side of a steep hill so lots of steps but that is true of the area. We found the service very good; I notice that the bad reports below are the only reports from that person - not very subtle!... More

Goodrich is five minutes from Symond's Yat - deservedly one of the best known beauty spots on the English/Welsh border. At the Inn on the Wye we were in simple but comfortable chalet-type accommodation: en suite, TV, tea-making equipment. It was extremely good value: two double rooms for 2 nights: £220 altogether, full English breakfast included. The hotel runs a... More
