We stayed in the self catering Benhall Cottage Granary. From start to finish, it was brilliant. Carol greeted us very friendlily, and there were lovely lemon cakes and brownies awaiting our arrival. The cottage is very well appointed, very clean and with lots of simple touches to make the stay brilliant, including local maps, guide books, and lots of kitchen implements. We spent lots of time outside on the large lawn (which keeps the sun well into the evening), very relaxing in the sun and playing croquet. You can hear a bit of road noise, but at the same time it is very peaceful and it absolutely doesn't spoil the countryside feel. It was lovely to hear the cows lowing in the nearby shed. We really enjoyed our stay here; it's an easy walk into Ross, where you can sit and while away the hours by the river. And only about 15 minutes drive to Symonds Yat, with all the walks and views. Some superb cycling in the area too, quiet country roads, not many cars around. We'd be very keen to come back and explore further.

We had a wonderful stay at Benhall farm: everything was perfect. The beds were the most comfortable we have slept in, the rooms were well appointed and spacious and the fridge was stocked with fresh milk and delicious home made shortbreads. We were a party of 4 adults with 2 young children and felt very welcome. The children could safely run around in the grassy area in front of the house. We would certainly return and have no hesitation in recommending Benhall Farm.

We have just returned from Benhall Farm and can only reiterate what other reviewers have said. We were warmly welcomed by Carol with a pot of tea and homeade cakes then shown to our lovely, spacious room with a king size four poster, period furniture and a sitting area that looks out over beautiful views. There is a fridge with fresh milk and delicious homemade shortbread. We had a wonderful nights sleep as the bed was the most sumptuously comfortable bed we have ever slept in and, although the farm is not far from the A40, there is not a sound to be heard so it was a very peaceful night. Breakfast was lovely with an extensive choice and homemade preserves. We will most certainly return and have no hesitation in recommending Benhall Farm.

We found Benhall holidays by looking close B&Bs to Forest Dean as we wanted to cycle for the bank holiday weekend. We were welcomed with a tea, smile and a lot of information about the area. The room had a great view and it was perfectly clean. Another review said here that the sheets were crystal white and they truly were. Carol was great, she was very helpful in anything we asked her. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, she does make an effort to keep her guests happy. We have met the whole family and they are all very nice people. Our visit to that side of England was truly memorable mainly because of Benhall Farm holidays. Do we recommend it: Yes, 100% Are we going to be back: Yes, 100% 5 stars from both of us, truly deserved.
