Just got back from our 2nd stay at the Paddocks, they have recently had a change of owners which are making improvements, the new owners and the staff are very helpful and keen to please, our room was warm and clean with nice soft white towels, a good supply of tea coffee and milks left in our room, we had...

I usually search for something nice to say about everywhere I've stayed but in this instance I just can't! Badly lit exterior and an awful smell of damp -made more noticeable after a ten minute wait for someone to appear at reception! Card machine was faulty so waited even longer. We were told we would need to let them know...

Recently stayed at this hotel with our rambling club a group of some 34 persons who took over all the hotel. The rooms at the hotel were all very clean and well equipped with fresh bed linen and towels. The meals were excellent good wholesome food cooked to perfection, meal times were run with military precision which worked well with...

The hotel room was really clean, bright and obviously recently decorated with all matching bedding, curtains etc. We had clean towels every day. The food was excellent with a good choice. The service was very good and plates very hot. All food was served to the tables and this was a bonus. My only comment was that there was a notice...

These cottages are perfectly positioned for great walks and touring the area. The decor is dated but comfortable. Everything you need is supplied, friendly staff on hand if needed. We stayed in Magnolia with 2 medium sized dogs and were grateful for the laminate floors, big living room and the hall that they could sleep in. We would definitely return.

The hotel is a bit dated, the rooms are small but it's very clean and the food is good and plentiful. Apparently the bungalows at the back of the hotel are much roomier. Good ballroom and lovely garden. Super location for lovely walks along the river Wye or catching a ferry over to the rock.

When I was young I used to go socialising in a seaside town. The local KFC opened late, so you could have a post-beer snack. The staff were renowned for their lack of customer care and sarcastic responses. I think they now run The Paddocks. Pretty much everywhere there's signs saying what you can and can't do. We made a...

The Paddocks is invthe heart of the hill side of Symonds Yat. We stayed in one of the holiday bungalows. It was spacious and inviting, although the decor was very dated, like visiting your nans house. Having sad that, the view from the room was exceptional and the place was clean and comfortable.
