Took my elderly mum here recently for lunch. The atmosphere was very relaxing, The food is quite expensive and there was limited light food. We chose a club sandwich which was delicious but my mum who has dementia really struggled to eat it. It would have been nice to see things like soups (not as part of a fixed meal)...

We needed a hotel in Ross on Wye to meet friends for a meal. We had eaten at the chase but never stayed. The rooms look alright on the website but in reality are very nice. A large comfortable bed in a good size room with solid modern furniture. Dining was excellent and a nice bar for pre and post...

This is a hotel that I stay at from time to time and it usually provides excellent service. Unfortunately, the night I chose to stay was also chosen by the local farmers for a gathering - dozens of them - and the kitchen really struggled to get food to us (6 for dinner) When it did arrive it was enjoyed...

Stayed here Jan 2017. Room was not massive but was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were there as part of a conference and there was 70 of us eating a set evening meal which was delicious and the service was great. I can imagine that having a wedding or other large function would be great here. The only...

From initial booking right through to the dinner, everyone was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and very good value for money. Service was very good. Our group will definitely use The Chase again.

Nice Hotel, Good Location - VERY POOR Customer Service I booked an overnight stay in The Chase with my 9 year old daughter. We are frequent visitors to Ross-on-Wye, my daughter asked to stay in The Chase as it is close to a friends business and we have walked past numerous times. After booking the room I received an email...

My friend and I enjoyed a ldelicious afternoon tea at The Chase last week. The staff were friendly and courteous and the food was beautifully presented and tasty. Tea and coffee were freely replenished and the surroundings were elegant, but comfortable.

The welcome was OK but impersonal. The room was very small but clean (as was the bathroom) with a small TV plus tea making equipment. The restaurant (Harry's Place) was surprisingly good with lovely food and delightful staff. There were some glitches but then again most places have them (see separate review). The bar is pleasant and if it wasn't...

Lovely traditional venue. Warm and cosy surroundings beautifully decorated for Christmas. Welcoming professional staff with excellent customer service noting was too much trouble. They swooped our tea for green tea. Afternoon tea was delicious, finger sandwiches, trifle, fruit tart, chocolate cake and of course the traditional scone with cream and jam. We definitely will be returning.
