Comfy rooms, such a friendly host and perfect location. Breakfasts are really good too. Pauline is great, very knowledgeable and funny. This was our second visit this year. This time we were downstairs in room 4. We love this location, we walk to the town and the beaches and having off road parking is a big plus.

Room Tip: Salcombe is very hilly. This B&B is uphill from the town. Talk to Pauline, she knows local walks...

We stayed for a week in June, the weather could not have been better. Our room was accessed by stairs on the side of the house we had use of an open plan lounge/ fully equipped kitchen, as the weather was fantastic we did not make use of this, but would be great if you had a wet week. Pauline was an excellent host with lots of knowledge of the local area. Breakfast was served in the dining room around a large table which accommodates all guests. Good choice of cereals, juice etc, your cooked selection is prepared for you fresh. Excellent stay

This was our second visit here and this time we stayed a whole week. Pauline made us very welcome and lots of advice about where to go and what to do. Salcombe is such a special place and the Waverley is a superb place to stay in a central location with all important parking! Looking forward to our next visit.

We would not highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Pauline welcomed us with a beaming smile, and is very knowledgeable about the area. Our bedroom was spacious and spotless, the beds were very comfortable, free good WiFi. Complimentary toiletries, very good choice of teas and coffees in our room , with bottled water. Full English breakfast was cooked freshly to order , very good choice of cereals , fruit etc , and several choices of cooked breakfast including eggs Benedict was available. Thank you for a wonderful 3 night stay!

Stayed here before setting off on a South West Coast Path walk. Very comfortable room especially bed - quiet even though stormy outside. Warm welcome from Pauline and very good breakfast. Set me up well for exertions to come. ————————————-

Excellent quiet location. Warm care. Clean and disinfected washrooms. Just enough space in basement rooms to stay for 2 nights. But who spends time in your bedroom? Outside patio with table to fit 6 people and sun umbrella all situated in a most magnificent flowered-shrub english garden.

My partner and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Waverley B&B. Our host, Pauline, was incredibly hospitable and as a long-standing resident in Salcombe she was able to provide great insight of the local area and places to visit. Breakfast was included in our stay, with a wide range of cooked options, cereals and fruit on offer. We stayed in a downstairs double, en-suite room which was beautifully decorated and contained a very comfortable bed. The room also contained plenty of space for luggage and a small fridge. As the room was downstairs, it was out of direct sunlight and kept cool which was welcome on the hot weekend we visited. The b&b is in an ideal location, only a 5-minute walk up a hill from the centre of Salcombe. It’s raised location allows a pleasant breeze and impressive views of the estuary and surrounding areas. There is free off-road parking available which we found reassuring as it can be difficult to find parking in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this b&b to others.

We stayed for two nights and our host Pauline and her husband were both delightful and very helpful. Our room and ensuite was spotlessly clean with every attention to detail, as was the bathroom. I loved the pretty chairs upholstered in a seagull fabric! Our bed was extremely comfortable with nice linens. We had use of a lovely living area with tv and a very well equipped kitchen, again spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast with good choices. Would definitely return. About five minutes walk down a steep hill (it's steep everywhere!) to town so very convenient. Thank you both for a lovely stay!
