My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend and it was glorious. Charming compact studio with big bed and roll top bath. Waking up to the fresh air and bird song in the luscious grounds was total heaven. Graham and Joanna make you feel like part of the family. Use of the huge communal BBQ next to the lake was an added bonus!

We stayed in the Tack Room which had everything we needed and the comfiest of beds! Jo and Graeme were lovely hosts and we enjoyed spending time in the beautiful grounds. An ideal base for walks on Dartmoor and visiting Tavistock. I’m sure we’ll be back again for another visit.

Graham and Joanna are great hosts. We had a wonderful time staying at The Wood Shed and would highly recommend. Ideally located near Dartmoor National Park and day trips to Eden Project and Tintagel Castle are only an hour away. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My Partner and I were looking for our ideal wedding venue in 2019, we had viewed other places but none fit the bill for us like Mount Tavy did. With enough rooms on-site to sleep all our parents, bridesmaids, grooms men and of course ourselves. We had a lovely marquee on the lawn to make the ideal 'Devon Wedding' and the owners of Mount Tavy Cottages were indispensable in helping us to get all the right companies and people booked for the event. If you're getting married or just looking for a weekend in beautiful Devon with a stunning location in the heart of the Moors you really should book in here.

We took exclusive use of the main cottage for my brothers wedding which was held at a venue elsewhere in the area. The accommodation is wonderful and the setting stunning. The owners Jo and Graham were incredibly helpful - they answered all our questions, helped with booking taxis/local hairdressers who came to the venue and were just very hospitable all round. A great 3 day break for the grooms family - which felt like a holiday because of our accommodation! Thank you!
