My wife and I held our wedding reception here and it was perfect. Debbie, Wayne and everyone at the Coach House Hotel made it the special day it should be. Lovely country setting, super garden, friendly staff, best ever hog roast (thanks Dean) and a bath in our suite!!!! Loved the way Debbie was so helpful and thoughtful in arranging... More

This is our second stay at the Coach House and I can say that we have enjoyed both visits and will certainly be more than happy to return again. It is a small individual hotel and somewhat out of the way in gorgeous countryside. Don't expect anything like a big city centre hotel but this is what makes the Coach... More

Was warmly welcomed by Debbie on arrival, and she wanted to carry my bag to the room which, being a gentleman, I refused. The room was clean, as was the en-suite, and after unpacking relaxed in the bar/lounge which could have done with a new rug in the centre (only a small niggle) and had a welcoming drink and watched... We had an awesome weekend 31st Oct-1st Nov. The hosts were exceptionally attentive. Superb food, the breakfast in particular has to be praised. It came out hot on hot plates, and plenty of it! Room was pleasant, olde worlde style, clean with adequate shower room. Only complaint was the milk in the room. This was a small jug that went... More

My Wife and I took advantage of a Living Social deal, and were so happy we did. The Hotel is in the middle of the Devon country side near Tavistock. We were warmly welcomed as we stepped out of our car, possibly the best welcome ever The hotel is charming and comfortable, the room was a reasonable size and very... More

Seven of us spent one night here last week when cycling the Coast to Coast from Ilfracombe. Clearly, there has been a lot of work done in the three weeks since a previous negative review! The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and, best of all, very quiet so had a wonderful sleep. Debbie and her staff certainly have the... More

Yes, it is informal, which is exactly why we loved it. You are made to feel welcome and a valued guest. There is parking across the road from the entrance and the hotel interior is very homely. There is work to done here and there but without closing the hotel down, there is always some work to be done. It... More

Excellent food. Choice at dinner and breakfast varied. Room comfortable. Remote location but central as a base to visit many of the attractions of Devon & Cornwall. Probably easier to find if you dont use a Sat Nav. Nice pub at the end of the road.

We stayed here in June after purchasing a Living Social deal: £89 for a two night stay in a standard double, with a cream tea on arrival and a free bottle of wine with the evening meal if dining at the hotel restuarant on the first night. The Coach House is a lovely old building from the outside, but once... More

I arrived with relative and met by Debbie. Amazing customer service and very personable. Couldn't do enough for us and room was clean and well presented. If we're in the area again we WILL stay here! Great value for money! Oh and the food.... Excellent I had rump steak, best steak for a long time. I expected 'pub grub' and... More
