I like to camp with a fire and this place was excellent for that. Kids running feral everywhere, friendly people, very generously sized flat pitches. I liked the central area which had a giant tipi and plenty of cover in case of rain. I've read complaints about cost of wood (£6 for a crate of split chestnut). The wood is...

Over the summer we visited Wowo for a couple of nights during the week. Camping is not usually something I'd jump at the chance of doing but it was an opportunity to spend a couple of days in the sun (luckily!) whilst my children ran carefree in a safe outdoor environment with not a gadget in sight! The site was...

I guess it is all about what you are looking for. I was just what we were looking for and we (Mum, Dad, 3 kids; 17 yrs, 5 yrs and 18 mths) loved it. Our kids loved running free, getting grubby and swinging on the "awesome tree swings" (as he of 5 years put it). Their are so many extras...

There was so much potential here but the reality was very disappointing. This huge site was rammed full of campers and it was scruffy, expensive and the bathrooms etc were APPAULING. Filthy dirty and simply not enough for everyone there. It was also full of inconsiderate guests making noise until 4am despite the site positioning itself as family friendly. I...

First visit with our kids, they absolutely loved it and so did we. Real fires, really big pitch with benches etc. We went and enjoyed the music in the TeePee and it was brilliant, really engaged the kids, we had to carry them back to the tent, when they finally gave in. Great hot showers and toilets were fine and...

The children loved it - loads of space to run around in and have fun. The adults hated it - inadequate and dirty facilities (toilets, showers, wash up), expensive provisions in the shop (and food van) and a complete absence of any interest from the owners/managers in their guests' welfare. It had the distinct impression of somewhere that had built...

I have never stayed in a Yurt before but it was superb. Clean with all amenities set in beautiful woods with loads of fabulous walks. The main barn has freezers and fridges for communal use and the shop has a good selection. staff really helpful. I would definitely recommend if you need a chill-out. each yurt has a fire pit...

Just got back home today after our first visit to Wowo. I stumbled across this place last year when doing a walk in the area and had been wanting to go there since then. Booking was easy (do it online). Prices were v reasonable. On checking in, the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Facilities were great: plenty of showers,...

This campsite is fantastic. The staff and fellow campers are all super-friendly and this made for a great short break! The woodland, stream and rope swings provide wonderful entertainment for the kids and there is so much to do. One of the best features is the enormous plots which each have their own fire pit which is a real bonus....

Agree with some other reviews that this camp is a bit of a Hippy type magnet. A lot of kids were hippy kids too and all enjoyed the sing song in the evenings - felt a bit like we were part of a cult lol The toilets and showers were poor quality and festival like. Would definitely say to camp...
