I recently stayed at this hotel and was a little worried after reading reviews on here. My stay was fine I had no issues with noise and I had no food from Aldi/Iceland frozen dinners although some very strange combinations of flavours which in my opinion didn't work My room was on the 4th floor which is very quiet and... Great location as long as you don't get a room overlooking the bus station but the interior does not live up to the exterior. The room looked like it had been decorated in the 80's with threadbare carpets and sheets, and what looked like army blankets, on a bed which creaked whenever you moved (and was presumably also last changed... Three of us stayed 1 night whilst visiting for a wedding. Two adults and a teenager. We had a family room, with a double and single in one room and a separate adjoining room with bunk beds and ensuite bathroom. Plenty of room, the bathroom was a bit shabby but all was clean and the room well decorated with lovely... More

I have never stayed here, but have had special lunches and dinners there. I have never known a friendlier, more helpful hotel. The staff can never do enough for you, and you can always find someone to help you. The food is wonderful.

We were a group of 25 women and all agreed it was a lovely 4 days. Food excellent and waiting staff were so helpful. Meals were prompt even though there were 2 other groups present. The rooms were clean with very pleasing décor.

Spent two nights here. Very comfortable bed, clean room. However, was sharing with a friend and the twin beds were a little too close for comfort (really just a double bed split in the middle). But we managed to rejig. Shower did not work correctly, but a quick word at reception at breakfast time and the shower had been replaced... More

What a lovely looking hotel when you first arrive. It's very close you the sea front and the shops. Its very quaint and traditional inside and I was greeted by two very friendly members of staff on reception Check in very easy and quick, I didn't drive but glad I didn't as there wasn't much parking available The room was... You step into The Chatsworth, and suddenly the world turns a quaint sepia colour - or it would if the rather garish decor would allow it to. Perhaps my 6 year old daughter and I were the wrong demographic, but we didn't really have that nice a stay and we are unlikely to be back. I wouldn't mind the room... More
