My husband and I booked The Kingsway Hotel at the last minute because we were visiting my family in law and it was getting late. We had a lovely double room with en suite bathroom, and it was very clean and comfortable, not to mention quiet. There was plenty of hot water and towels, and great tea and coffee facilities....

I was very happy on arrival to be upgraded, for free, from a single to a double room with a view of the sea (through a large side window). The room was spacious and comfortable in what is a typical medium sized seaside hotel, nothing special but had everything you would want. The free parking is only space for 5...

We booked a last minute weekend away from the city. Paid extra for a deluxe double room with a sea view. Sea view - spot on also a small balcony which was a nice touch however the room felt like it belonged to my grandparents. incredibly outdated; which kills the cheeky weekend away vibe. The staff were not rude, but...

Had a great large room overlooking the seafront with a balcony. Hotel was very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated opposite the promenade and you can walk five miles covering east and west. There are restaurants, pubs and shops nearby and in town. You will find one-off shops as well as the larger chains...

We were given a password for the wifi and told that we could use it from our room but we could not get any signal. Also, some of the channels on the TV had poor signal....

Paid £55 for single, B and B rate. Staff very friendly and made to feel welcome. Room was comfortable and had all I needed. Shower not very powerful. Single bed was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet so decided to eat out. Breakfast was ok but nothing special, although the coffee was very good. I was working for a charity so...

Booked in for 1 night, At £70 for 2 incl breakfast I consider it very poor value, Room was really 1970's. Window frames are well past their sell by date, 2 catches broken and replaced with one in the middle. Bath all scratched on the side. Hook on bathroom door falling off. Whole place is being painted but needs a...

I started writing this review at 3 in the morning. The Kingsway has an attractive seafront location and less than a mile from the railway station. It is in an old building which results in some odd shape rooms and narrow corridors. My bedroom was clean and had a comfortable bed, the bathroom was tired but clean. When I arrived...
