Just got back from staying at Cary Fitzpaain House, we stayed in the cottage adjacent to the main house. It was fantastic, the surroundings were beutiful, location was perfect and the accommodation was spot on. The owners made you feel welcome and couldn't do enough for you. If your looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing to stay, look no further.... More

We stayed here for three nights whilst attending a wedding nearby. After a warm welcome we were shown to our light and airy room with its four poster bed, comfortable armchairs and a well equipped en suite bathroom with a very large bath. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we enjoyed their excellent hospitality, great breakfasts, and... More

We loved this place - if you're looking for a country retreat, this ticks every box. It's a lovely big old house, grand but not pretentious, really homely, on a farm with horses, chickens, dogs and more. We didn't see another guest while we were there (maybe because all of the other guests were on the Wessex tour and leaving... More

We stayed here on our way to Dorset with our dog. This is a true dog friendly B&B as opposed to saying dog friendly just to get your custom. We were in the the pink room which was large with a 4 poster bed and settee and arm chair, there was plenty of tea and coffee making facilities. The shower... More

A fine example of a Somerset rural delight owned by a delightful local Somerset family with their roots firmly in the Manor house for generations , with an extensive knowledge and love of thier surrounding countryside . The decor inside the period Manor House reflects the beauty of the surrounding area a mix of quintessential and traditional , crisp clean... More

Stayed overnight at this b&b recently booked it based on reviews and looking at the website. Overall impression was that it would be difficult to find in the dark but the location is very quiet and peaceful. I don't know about the other rooms but the Wisteria twin room that we stayed in was cramped and the positioning of the... More

We stopped at Cary Fitzpaine House on the way home from a week in Cornwall. It was very easy to find and nice and close to the A303. Despite the proximity to the A303 it was very quiet at night. We heard birds and horses but that was about it. We had a lovely big room with a sofa, arm... More

A beautiful house and a warm and friendly welcome, from all family members we met. The rooms were lovely and bathrooms clean. The breakfasts were extremely nice, with a great choice, and beautifully cooked. The guest sitting room was lovely to spend the evenings in, warm and cosy, especially as we didn't enjoy good weather during our stay........! Plenty of... More

Cannot fault a thing...The house and surroundings are lovely and it is very quiet...close to Glastonbury which is where we wanted to go but still out in the countryside. Breakfast was great...The couple who run the bed and breakfast are lovely and very helpful. Rooms are very nice and the beds comfortable. Would definatley recommend!
