Stayed here for a couple of nights between Christmas and New Year to be close to family. I have stayed here before but never in the part of the hotel we were in this time. The far end from reception and up 4 flights of stairs. My partner had been ill recently so I had to take the luggage a...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am really disappointed to read your comments about the apparent lack of service. I am surmising from your comments that you had a room in the original part of the hotel due to you comments about single glazing. There is lift access to all rooms...

Celebrated NYE with a Murder Mystery, an enjoyable evening, nicely acted out, the clues given during the evening did not point us towards the murderer unfortunately, however it did resolve into pleasant evening. This was followed by a 'disco'. The dance floor was inadequate for the number of guests resulting in a lot of squashing. The meal was of a...

Beautiful hotel with a typical English charm, old but refurbished building, English garden. Rooms are not at the standard of such hotel category, the same for the cookery that is really basic. Welcome and service very good.

This was a part business and part family trip. Stayed overnight here and had a conference the following day. Although it looked like a good area, we arrived late and there seemed to be a brawl going on outside the hotel, involving groups of youths. There was much shouting, threats, swearing and cars being sped up and down the road....

Met family for dinner and our first experience was in the bar. The Victoria Wood sketch about 'two soups' came to mind for those who remember it! By the time we were served, we realised that we should have asked for a bottle rather than a glass if it was going to take quite so long to be served. The...

16th century building with an inner garden and newer attachment. Everything is fine except if have difficulty with stairs. If you do, it's a long way from your room to the front desk. Free parking is a bonus.
