Quick check in reception staff professional and polite. Room clean and warm, lovely view over garden. Breakfast buffet varied also cooked items off menu, waiting staff friendly and kept tables cleared. Have stayed before and will return.

We were pleasantly surprised! Yes the decor is not as upto date as others but it's very clean, warm homely feel and staff were exceptionally freindly and professional. The male on reception on Sat 26th pm/sun 27th am customer service was brilliant!! He very quickly changed our room when we were not happy. The room we changed to was good.... More

spent a lovely night at this wonderful old hotel. staff were very helpful, interacted with customer, nothing was to much bother, thou the food was finished getting a snack from the bar area was a help,

we booked an executive suite and it was a really nice laid out room, the bathroom was a little dated but everything worked fine. bed was really comfy. breakfast was nice with an array of English to cold meats and fruits. the decor is really good in the main bar reception area.

First time visit.A friend and I had booked a twin room for 2 nights. We were put in what they called the new wing. Although very comfortable,plenty of room,it was very cold. Stayed in room 79 on 5.11.16 Bathroom was filthy, wasn't cleaned after previous guests. There was beard cuttings all over the sink and glass shelf above the sink. Was disgusting..
