The Castle at Edgehill is one of the best little hotels I've stayed in recently. It really is something very different and very special. With only four bedrooms, this is a quiet local pub with a few bedrooms, but really is a little gem. We had the Rupert Room which is half way up the tower (the highest room available),... More

Visted with my family for lunch one lovely sunny day. Surprisingly (to me anyway) it wasn't very busy. The menu was ok but not very long, but good enough for us. We all chose a roast of some sort. My wife and I chose beef. To be honest, considering it was pretty standard roast dinner, it wasn't especially good. We... More

We stayed here for about a week in August. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the view from the top of Edgehill was incredible (great view for sunsets). We stayed in a family room which had a double bed and a separate very small bedroom with a single bed which my daughter loved.

I booked the Castle as a novelty between rental houses during a trip to the UK. It was a lovely quiet area with some very pleasant walks nearby. We didn't go into the centre of the village. The staff were very attentive and friendly and I can't fault them at all. The room we had was the larger one so... More

Have had several meals at the castle but this was the first time we had stayed. Arrived in the afternoon, had drinks in the garden then were shown up to our room. My wife wasn't feeling well so she went for a lie down (nothing to do with hotel) I went back to garden to enjoy drinks in the sun... More

Stayed over for one night's bed and breakfast. Upon arrival the welcome and check-in was very friendly and efficient, and a member of the team kindly carried our bags up the steps into our room ,situated in the tower. The room was totally adequate with all the facilities one would require, but the best part of the experience was the view, across the... More

Recently visited for a birthday dinner. Incredible view from an 18th century folly building overlooking the Edgehill battlefield and Cotwolds countryside. The food was very good...above average in portion, quality and price. I'm not sure what other reviewers were expecting, the haddock meal was large...and I'm a 6' 5" guy with a pretty solid appetite. Service was great and the... More

This is without doubt a lovely venue especially on a nice summer evening to relax and take in the views. Unfortunately the service is now rather poor after staff changes and the portions small. Sat in the garden enjoying the views but disappointed to find that there was no mustard offered or vinegar to be found anywhere to go with... More

Ate here last night and really enjoyed it. Staff were lovely, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Onion bhaji scotch egg starters, steaks/burger main courses and the mango panacotta dessert were all lovely. The boys enjoyed the local ales they tried. Our table was in the "conservatory" area, overlooking the valley below...we were able to watch the sun set... More
