Pleasant landlady and the room was large and nicely decorated. However, the view was non existent and we looked out onto a small area with drainpipes and kitchen extractor fans for decoration. The window itself was not big enough for the room and was just inside the door so did nothing to illuminate the rest of the room. We felt... More

Lovely Inn great food and fantastic setting. The owners were very friendly, the rooms were clean and tidy, the bed comfortable. Had a good night's sleep and a fantastic full English breakfast. Only downside to the visit was the strength of the WiFi signal but since I was there for just the 1 night it wasn't really a problem.

This is a great stop over as there is nothing else around for miles - but you don't need anything. We arrived too early but were allowed in the room for a tea and freshen up before we ate in the bar. The food was lovely and although the pub is shut to outsiders on a Monday it is open... More

The Jug and Glass Inn proves to be quite an enigma this Bank Holiday weekend! The bedrooms were clean and quite spacious with most of the usual trimmings thrown in. However, our ground floor room overlooked the car park and unless one closed your curtains, privacy is an issue. We were staying on a B and B basis but chose... More

A traditional B&B pub. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, in wonderful countryside. The food is outstanding & reasonably priced. Could not have asked for anything better. We would definitely recommend this gem

The food here is absolutely lovely and plenty of it, I'd give it 10/10 (to the chef) . But the vinegar pots have cracks in them, chairs very dusty, seating with masking tape over the upholstery and on planks of wood to make them higher, plus toilets could do with regular checks to keep them spotless. I have been a... More

Thank you for your lovely comments about our food. There are plans to do various upgrades including improvements to the items you have drawn attention to. I hope when you visit again these will be complete. More

We spent a couple of nights here and had a lovely time and used it as a base to visit nearby Chatsworth House and Bakewell (about 30 mins away). Apart from a few cobwebs the room was clean and well presented with modern furniture. My husband is 6' 4" and the bed was a little on the small side for... More
