Mary was friendly and welcomed us graciously. The room was clean, quite and spacious, with loads of charm. Lovely breakfast and a good nights sleep. They were available at short notice and it was such a find. We will be back I hope!

This place is the place to stay. I had the "attic" room and it was amazingly large! The breakfasts are great and Mary was wonderful company whilst she cooked it. I would recommend this B&B and am going to book again for November.

We arrived in Hey-on-Wye on a whim. To our delight we discovered the most beautiful village, the best country pubs, and stunning scenery. But what made our stay here most memorable was staying with the most wonderful hosts Mary and John. Mary kept us entertained with great stories and hearty breakfasts. The accommodation in the cottage was more than we... More

We stayed in this B&B for one night. it is very nice and cosy. Mary the landlord is so nice and very helpful, she took care of us, welcomed us and made us feel at home. This was our first visit to Wales and this B&B made very special. The location is great and the breakfast was amazing.

After a day of book shop browsing this cosy B&B was perfect. We stayed in the attic room which was cosy and well ventilated (summer). Steep stairs to get to room. Pubs close by for dinner.. Double bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Food grown in the village. Very pleasant hosts. Popular with hikers.

We were so lucky to find excellent accomodation at the Rest of the Tired. Mary is a wonderful landlady who went out of her way to find the perfect solution for our family. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was large and full of light. Wifi is free and the location is excellent too, in the centre of town.

Very good place to stay, friendly hosts, comfortable beds and good food. The guests' living room area was particularly good for an afternoon's reading. Free wifi was appreciated. It's central within Hay-on-Wye and there's car parking available, which is great.

Lovely accommodation in this 17th century property above one of Hay's celebrated bookshops, very comfy and homely with lots of character. Mary and John made me very welcome and told me lots of stories about the history of Hay which were fascinating! I will definitely stay there again.

Quirky, hobbity staircases and rooms, really cosy, comfortable and clean as well as full of character and plenty of privacy. Host is warm and homely, breakfast good. As central as you like, a stone's throw from the river, with parking.
