Stayed here for one night on the way back to the continent. Very friendly, comfortable small hotel where I had a good night's sleep. It was clean and welcoming. Also very pet friendly as I travelled with a small dog. Highly recommended, great value for money, and good breakfasts made to order and served punctually in a pleasant dining room,...

Prior to arriving at the Wycliffe we had read a number of mixed reviews relating to the accommodation some of which spoke about noise and an uncomfortable night's sleep. Upon our arrival the first thing that caught our eye was the somewhat unusual car park which had a hedge running through the middle of it. This probably added to the...

We arrived late and departed early so literally only got our heads down. Was clean, easy to find, convenient and well priced. Perfect for a quick in and out stop over if your using the tunnel or Ferries. We were a ten min drive to the tunnel terminal at an ungodly hour next morning. Definitely recommend for this purpose.

We stayed one night at the Wycliffe on our way to France on the channel tunnel. The rooms are dated and the toilet system very noisy. We didn't flush it when it was late or early in the morning so as not to disturb our neighbours. On the other hand, our room looked over a pleasant garden and green with...

Stayed here for three nights. Lovely old house in quiet area, lovely garden. Spotlessly clean. Bedroom adequate size but en suite was quite small. Good breakfast. Car parking available. Friendly staff. About 10 minutes walk to sea front and town area. On the negative side - toilet very noisy due to saniflo system, we were woken during the night by...

Had another fantastic overnight stay after driving back from Spain with our dogs. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the hosts very welcoming. Just a short walk from sea front and large garden behind the hotel for the dogs to stretch their legs in. Will definitely be back again

If you want to a good nights sleep on a comfortable bed then you would be well advised to avoid this B&B. It is not a hotel. It is also in need of refreshing. Some of the furnishings are really tatty. I unfortunately booked 5 nights at the Wycliffe but had to check out early due to not being able...

This hotel is incredibly noisy. On the 4th night of not sleeping, I decided to check out a day early. I asked the owner if we could split the cost of my cancellation but she would have none of it. There was no consideration given to the fact that I had lost money due to the hotel being "unfit for...

I wanted a nice weekend getaway to the seaside with my dog & luckily came across the Wycliffe which had good reviews, was affordable, was in a good & walkable location, and allowed dogs. I am very happy I stayed here! The staff was welcoming and helpful, the rooms were tidy and clean, the access to the garden was a...

Good value hotel, possibly do with a freshen up, but room comfortable. Breakfast had an early finish for a weekend (8.30) but the breakfast was good. Hot water was timed rather than constant so if you wanted an early shower (before 4.30) it would be cold. Also had to let it run a good 5+ minutes before it was hot.
