We stayed here for 2 nights. Once at the beginning of our trip and once at the end. The first room was nice, big and had a great view at the oceaan. The second room was small, dirty and overlooked a container with waiste. Parking is not easy, you have to drive around and look for a spot. The location... More

If you need a room at short notice you could do worse than this place. But there are some drawbacks....1. Parking. You need to drop your friend off first, find a parking space along the front, return to the hotel, pay £2 a scratch-card permit at reception (you take pout luck on how well, or badly, the receptionist speaks English),... Best thing about this hotel was the price and getting a reasonable nights sleep. The decor is somewhat old and depressing. It does have a rather quaint lift which initially looks like a cupboard. I'm surprised it could fly! Parking permits available at the hotel... you may have a fair walk / drive to find a spot though.

No one informed us about the nightclub in the basement that didn't shut until the early hours. The whole hotel is set in the 80's. It needs a major overhaul. Every thing was old and needed updating. For the price, ok for an overnight. Just.

This hotel is so dated, needs a very big overhaul, used a block wood to keep window open and the bible as well, Windows need a good clean in side and out, the beds uncomfortable you could feel the springs, and there is no water pressure in the shower. There was also an unpleasant smell and round the hotel. Definitely... More

This hotel is past its best. We were provided with a block of wood to prop open our window otherwise it fell down with a clang, very unsafe for children. Wifi would not work in rooms. The bed was very uncomfortable and I would not recommend it.

This is a 2 star hotel. That said the service was good, the food was good, the beer was good and the rooms were good. That said my room was pleasantly airy with doors to open onto a balcony over the main entrance. The room is basic compared to other hotels but consistent with the price bracket I paid. We... More

Had a great stay at the Southcliff and even if the rooms are dated, the beds are clean and comfortable and the rooms spotless. Staff are friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble for them. Couldn't fault the place.
