Breakfasts were great. Staff friendly and helpful especially the receptionist and nothing was too much trouble, . Clean and welcoming. Lovely sea view. On street parking was good. I would recommend it to anyone.

Regular visitor when heading to Brussels on the early Eurotunnel crossing. At under £30, you don't expect 5* luxuries, but really The Southcliffe is hard to fault. From the friendly welcome on arrival (better than many hotels at 5-6 times the price) to the clean rooms and if you're lucky a sea view. Now with free wifi in all rooms...

We stayed in this hotel last weekend for our first holiday. It's in a very good location and about 15 min drive from Dover. Yes it doesn't have a carpark but you can easily park nearby or get a parking voucher for the reception. We had a motorbike, and stuff was kind enough to let us park behind the hotel....

Stayed at The Southcliffe on Saturday night. Fair enough it’s a bit tatty, but my room was completely adequate; clean and had a super sea view. Nice young man on reception friendly, helpful and efficient. There is a bar that we repaired to for a nightcap after our night out - which was very handy. All-in-all, a very enjoyable stay....

What wonderful staff they have working here. Nothing was too much trouble for them and all of our guests commented on what a great layout the room was and how friendly everyone was towards them. Some would say the décor is dated, and I guess it is, but it was exceptionally clean and well kept and we feel it adds...

Southcliff hotel is a once seaside gem that is somewhat down at the heels but still good value--do I need the shiny amenities? no--would I have liked a little more? yes.---tea in the room-tiny tv. view of car park--however-it was quiet-well-located-friendly staff-beds comfy and real wool blanket---would I use them again? Probably-cheap London getaway in old sweet town on the...

Very good reasonably priced hotel with very good food. On the seafront but still quiet and about a minute away from the theatre. Shower room small , larger bathrooms if the showers were over the bath. Large building so lots of rooms with good sea views. Old hotel so floorboards a bit creaky, people above me were quite loud easily...

The hotel is on the sea front and near the town centre so it has a good location. The staff are helpful but the hotel could do with an upgrade but then again it will cost more to stay. The sound insulation between rooms and corridor is very poor and I was woken up every evening for the 5 nights...

Went to the Southcliff hotel on the 19th to the 23rd of March with Edwards coaches. On arrival at the hotel did notice how big the hotel was. There was a porterage to take our cases into the hotel, also one of the staff watched as we crossed the busy road outside the hotel as some of the coach party...
