The Windsor Hotel is one of the many hotels stacked in a row almost art the beach front of Folkestone. Bars and pubs are in walking distance and so is the pebbly beach. The hotel has it's 'charms', the lady running it is very nice, but the hotel has seen its best days a while ago, and some of the...

Booking in was sloppy, hotel did not open until 4pm. Parking has to be paid for. Decor is victorian, room poorly lit. Wi-fi does not work in the room and to cap it all was told no breakfast despite saying on booking form breakfast at £7 per head.

This hotel is the benchmark against which all badness is measured. It is hands down THE worst hotel in England, if not Europe. It was probably built in the 1920's and has been left to deteriorate since then. It is literally rotting, it smells bad, it is absolutely FILTHY, from the common areas to the rooms themselves, the floors, the...

Since we step our foot in the hotel there was a very bad smell that it wasn't something specific! Anyway we stayed for 3 nights and at the second day I find the door of our room open with no one in or out (room service)! All of our staff in plain sight! I informed the owner! When all of...

This hotel is rundown and old fashioned and needs updating. It was a shame as it's in a great location in terms of seeing the sea. We booked a family room which was big enough and it had a seating area. The room was not very well lit and dull. The kids beds was comfortable enough for them to sleep...

There is something very, very special about this hotel, place. If you enjoy a coastal retreat, away from it all-you will appreciate this. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing and tranquil. Time to get your act together, relax and take a 'chill-pill.' Really enjoyed it there.

I booked this on a basis of we had to get our ferry on time and it was the last place available. Having read the reviews I entered expecting the worst. We were in a family room which on a good note was spacious. However everything is very very old. This place is in need of serious tlc. Infact I...
