The plus - spacious room with bath and sea view, bed was very comfortable, baby cot available for us, flexible with ordering outside food to deliver to us, good breakfast simple but sufficient. The receptionist girl working night shift was very friendly and welcoming towards us. Great location quite close to the high street The minus - abit chaotic during breakfast poor lady working on her own she looked stressed they should hire more people to help her during breakfast, music was loud at night so baby couldn’t settle properly during sleep. morning receptionist not friendly and don’t show much of an empathy, we checked out slightly late and they wanted to charge us £10 for it. We apologised and explained it was my husband’s birthday so we took a lil time to opened his present and I was breastfeeding my baby. Quite rude for her to lectured us with the policy and said it was quite normal for hotels to charge for late check out. we checked out 25 minutes late. i have traveled to so many places, visited 48 countries and very well aware of the late check out policy. in the end they agree to waive that, think it’s a lil bit cheeky wanting to take money off from us.

Spent two nights for my 38th Birthday at a cost of Nearly £400 including dinner and breakfast, as some one who works as a receptionist at a hotel I know what is like to be on the receiving end of complaintsa so ill be as constructive as possable. Pros: Amazing cocktails wow. The Hotel building is so beautiful with lovely views good position on the beach front. The dinners we had were lovely. Appeceiated the daily fruit drinks left in the room. ITS CLEAN! Room and hotel is spotless :) Cons: So at breakfst the bread was the same bread from the day before left in a bread bin it was stale on the first breakfast was inedable by the second breakfast please its £1 for a loaf of bread it should be at least be fresh considering we are expected to toast our own bread. THE HEAT our bathroom is like a sauna asked to have it turned down at reception reply was no they couldnt as it is all connected to all the rooms was really uncomfortable at night even with the bathroom door closed and windows open. Pillows had no pillow protectors extreamly lumpy plastic sythetic type pillows. AND FINALY The decore and paintings looks like it comes from a 13 year olds princess childrens party dated art prints and everything is silver and plastic incuding the flowers and chandelier in the room.at £200 a night It really would make a huge difference if paintings in the rooms and going up the stairs could be changed.

What a lovely hotel in a great location on the sea front with excellent views. I stayed in room 408, bed was big and comfy and I enjoyed a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was nice and good choice of continental and cooked. Will definitely stay again when next here for business or leisure!

We stayed at this hotel for a family wedding which was at the Channel Suite, it was literally five minutes walk away. The hotel is right on the seafront with lovely views of the English Channel. There were quite a few of us staying here. From check in to check out we can’t fault this hotel. All the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We booked a superior room which was very spacious. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower, the shower was great. The room was spotlessly clean. There was tea, coffee and hot chocolate with individual biscuits. This was refreshed daily. There was a hairdryer and a safe in the room, there was also a fan and a radiator which we didn’t need as it was very mild for Oct. We had an evening meal one night which was delicious and good value for money. We had breakfast on two occasions and there was a good variety of hot and cold breakfast. The breakfast was a buffet style which we prefer as we can get as much or little as we want. The bar area was very nice which a good selection of alcohol. We were served quickly both in the restaurant and at the bar. We found this hotel great value for money and would definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Folkestone.

We arrived a couple of hours later than planned, but it was not a problem. Our 2nd day tests had already arrived and were handed to us on arrival. Our room and bathroom were excellent and spotless and we had a nice view of the Leas, even though we didn’t select a sea-view room. There was a hairdrier too - an essential for ladies, etc ….. Staff were very nice, chatty if we wanted, and very helpful. We had booked bed and breakfast, and the breakfast in the dining room was self-service and had whatever one wanted - and plenty of it. There was an outside area that looked onto the sea and the Leas, and we met family members (and their pup) there and had a lovely time one afternoon chatting whilst we had drinks etc … We would certainly stay at this hotel again whenever we visit Folkestone.
