My husband and I were looking for a nice pet friendly place to stay while travelling to France with our 11 month french bulldog. After driving all day we finally arrived at the place and saw Janice and her dog. I had my dog on the lead even though he is really friendly (anyone who owns one knows that they... More

Stayed here for 2 nights after we were horrified at the hotel originally booked. What a pleasant find.... lady who ran it was nice and chatty and very welcoming. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean and even got a lovely welcome from her dog Rocco! Breakfast was a full english and a choice of cereal and fruit. The view... More

We have just spent ten happy days and nights at Alkham Valley View. Our reason for the stay was because of flooding in our home.We arrived to a very warm welcome by Jan whose friendship we now value. Our accomodation was in like a well equipped flat, the views from the windows were amazing We enjoyed a first class breakfast each morning and... Warm friendly welcome, fantastic view over the valley down to the sea. Great hostess, clean, great breakfast. This is a B and B. Dog friendly. Highly recommended. A family home that ticks all the boxes. If you do not enjoy this b and b, there must be something wrong with your concept of what is really good.

Arrived to a very warm welcome from Janice. Double Room was comfy, warm and cosy with a lovely bed. Facilities were adequate including free wifi and large screen TV with Sky. We enjoyed the numerous walks surrounding the property and the amazing views of Alkham Valley. Easy transport options to Folkestone and Dover for Euro transfers. Breakfast was lovely, with... More

We stayed in "The Nook" for two weeks recently when returning to live in the UK, the living room/bedroom is a bit on the small side but as it is advertised as a weekend break location this should not be a problem for anyone booking, a well equipped kitchen and shower room complete this suite, with a lovely vista to... Several apartments with warm, home feeling. Clean and self sufficient. Free WIFI. Bed was comfortable and rooms ( bedroom / living room, Kitchen w/ washing machine and bathroom ) were all great. Janice was more than eager to welcome us and make sure we were comfortable. Looking forward to return trip.

What's provided does not match the tariff. Janice is friendly and layed-back. Very relaxing atmosphere to the point of poor presentation and standard. We arrived as though entering an unexpecting relative's home. Entered family lounge with 'stuff' on dining table- so crowded that table top barely visible. Janice announced that she was going to tidy up but got distracted Big... More

If you're an animal person, you'll love this place. If not, not so much. Janice is quite friendly and very eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so it's hard to write a bad review. And she prepared an amazing delicious full English breakfast. But we paid to stay here, and during our time in the UK, we've... More
