So many things were a disappointment. A small detail like the clock not working and a TV remote missing were a warning sign. The carpet was in a sorry state, a huge bootprint in the middle of it showed that a one legged workman had been here before. The carpet in the shower room/toilet had been fitted by a blind...

We booked this place for one night as we were travelling to Huddersfield for a friend's wedding. They took the money from my bank before we checked in without warning. We were given our key to find we were being put in an attic room with tiny windows. The bed shoved in a corner and a tiny bathroom which was...

I stated here at short notice on business. There were no hotels to chose from so this was my option. Upon arrival the reception was unmanned and my room was the disabled room. It looked like a refuge. The iron didn't work and the bathroom was disgusting.

Only hotel I've ever walked out and demanded a refund. Manager was unfriendly and unwilling to refund while we were there trying to make us wait a week to start the refund process. It's worse that the photos were taken in a room for disabled guests filled with Dust and Mould. It took a threat of legal action and reporting...

Firstly, I was advised there was a restaurant for evening meals, there definitely is not... Reception was full of junk, my card was charged with no warning, the shower was broken, the bed sunken and wallpaper coming off the walls. Very rough round the edges and a bit in between! I felt very uneasy.

My first impression of this hotel was that it was like something off of Hotel Inspector. The over bearing decoration, entire room dedicated to a cluttered untidy reception, hallways with flat pack furniture unmade stored in, back entrance to the car park through a part abandoned garden & dusty ornaments on every available surface were so typical of the program...

Spacious rooms and good location. Hotel needs updating quite dated. Shower tray no proper plug and issue with drainage as tray filled with water. Carpets in bathroom. Very dusty and no teaspoons left in the room. Towels poor quality

My girlfriend and I recently visited the stone housed, leafy, characterful West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield to attend a beer festival. Only requiring one nights accommodation and deciding that as we'd potentially be quite intoxicated by the end of the evening, a cheap and cheerful bed and breakfast was the order of the day. We therefore booked the Ashfield, despite...

Booked online via bookings.com arrived at the hotel greeted fairly promptly but when arriving in the room we were totally gutted. It was disgusting scruffy and smelly the bathroom if it can be called that was an utter disgrace. We walked out and found another hotel. I was not prepared to stay the night here just being in the room...
