Thirteen of us booked here for a family Christmas lunch and what a mistake that was. The service was dreadful and we even had to uncork the wine ourselves. The food was inedible too. Two of us had chicken breasts and even after requesting steak knives we couldn't cut them. One to avoid at all costs.

Chose the Croppers arms because it was very convenient for the Huddersfield Blues festival and then visiting my son next day. Turned out to be excellent choice. . Cheerful, comfortable, well maintained room. Very helpful owners who let me check in a couple of hours early to deposit my bags and took care to explain arrangements for letting myself in...

As I've stayed at The Croppers Arms a couple of times last year I had no trouble deciding where to stay recently. I booked through my laterooms app on my phone and I caught the train to Huddersfield. A short taxi ride got me to The Croppers Arms on this wet and windy night and I entered and introduced myself....

I stayed here with my dad and brother and had a great time, the owners are lovely, the breakfast in the morning was awesome, rooms were basic but we were hardly in there! The pub downstairs does the BEST meals and such good value!

A great night spent at the establishment, the rooms were well heated and very quiet despite on a main road. The room was lovely and the bathroom actually had a bath in it. Breakfast was so filling and staff were super helpful and give great service. I would definitely stay again, especially with the yummy food available in the bar.

This is a pleasant old fashioned style pub with a few rooms and a restaurant. We needed a reasonably priced place to stay overnight in Huddersfield and are very pleased to have ended up at the Croppers Arms. It is a modest establishment but the hosts have made sure that everything is there for a comfortable stay: free wifi, plenty...

I have previously stayed at the Croppers and on this occasion I booked well in advance as quite often all the rooms are full. I was allocated room 2 which is at the rear of the building overlooking the car park. Gorgeous room which had obviously been recently decorated and as before, was very clean with a really good powerful...
