Went for meal with family on friday evening. Menu was a bit limited for choice however the food was very good. We were little surprised that having finished starters and main nobody asked us if we wanted puds and when we went to bar bit later to order we were told it was to late! missed out on 5 puddings...

The pub was clean the bar staff were friendly. The food was great and cooked fresh and arrived in a timely manner. They accommodated the fussy eaters amongst us very well. I loved the fact that on the table were trivia cards to ask each other.

Stayed here one night. The room was superb, finished to a very high standard. Food was ok, not great, but for the area very competitively priced. Such a shame the vegetables were cold and the gravy was lumpy. Would definiteof use again though.

We stayed here for one night at the end of January. The staff were really pleasant and friendly, the food was good pub grub, our room was comfortable and the breakfast was great. We had both dogs with us and this was not a problem. Can certainly recommend it.

Had two nights here in the depths of January. My room was very comfortable, I sank into the bed and slept really well. The service in the restaurant was friendly and the food was good pub food at very reasonable prices. We needed to leave well before the chef arrived for breakfast, but it was no trouble for the staff...

Dropped in for drinks as we were passing and had some time to kill. We were greeted by friendly staff who took our order and dealt with us swiftly and professionally. The pub was packed with what appeared to be both locals and people outside of the area eating. We managed to find a table and consume our drinks. Even...

Spent 2 nights in a tiny room with unbelievably noisy plumbing!! The shower was large but took time to produce hot water and then would suddenly get very hot or very cold. Made a lot of noise it made when running. Every time you turned on the tap or flushed the loo the pipes vibrated noisily! When neighbouring rooms used...

The rooms are not above the pub but nearby and you hear little apart from smokers in the pub garden from the Inn itself. We got very good value by booking late. We had a large room which was generally clean with a grubby shower. Plenty of tea and coffee and a good sized TV. My score is lower due...

After a disappointing time at Highclere Castle, this lovely pub provided a welcome break. Cheery atmosphere with what appeared to be lots of locals enjoying a regular lunch visit, we were able to have a filling, hot meal from a good range of options. It was served prompty and happily, with a degree of imagination. We were able to enjoy...

Very helpful, friendly staff; spotless, comfortable room, decorated to a high standard (ours had a beautiful walk-in shower); good choice of delicious meals for dinner - I just wish we could have stayed more than one night! We hope to go back again next year.
