I would suggest that you look for a hotel more centrally located, the hotel is a lengthy walk from the beach and the town centre attractions,if you decide to drive to town then be prepared to have deep pockets for the car parks charges. The hotel is showing it's age and would benefit from a major overhaul, the rooms are not welcoming...

we went to this hotel as a church group weekend away and I had heard poor reports about it. The location is not where you would expect to find a hotel but there is sufficient parking. very mixed feelings about the room - the pillows and duvets were very thin luckily there were sufficient beds for me to use pillows...

I remember visiting this place as a teenager and I suspect that things like the mattresses are still the same ones.. they looked to be from the 70s and very creaky. The hotel has a fascinating history and unfortunately it retains its institutional character. Plain wood chip walls and bland corridors don't make the place feel particularly welcoming. The Minton...

This place is unique, I know it is dated and I have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world but love this place. The swimming pool is fine for the kids to splash about in. The staff are friendly and the accommodation is great value. Green gables is quintessentially Scarborough!!!

To our surprise we arrived at this hotel at the top of a narrow terraced street, would never have expected to find a hotel there. We were met with a warm welcome and all the information we needed to find our room, dining room, swimming pool etc. Our room was described as a family room, when we walked in we...

Finding the hotel was odd, as we drove up the steep road past terraced houses, we didn't know that an enormous family hotel was hidden at the top. Parking was okay. We had a great set of rooms. Our three children were delighted to find they had beds side by side in a room that led only into our room,...

We booked a family room for 4 people. 2 Adults and 2 children. Then a double toom for 2 adults. The building is an old building and back in its day it would have been very grand but unfortunately now seems very dated. The room = A double bed, 2 singles and ensuite. Good size bedroom. Mattresses could do with...

Mum and I stayed b and b on the 2nd floor in a twin room with a double and single bed and a bathroom with a shower. We faced down the street so had lovely views of the castle the sea and Olivers Mount. Loved the quirkiness of all the rooms highlighted the age of the building in a good way....
