A lovely, clean well presented and friendly place to stay. An extremely comfortable room overlooking beautiful gardens in a lovely village on the outskirts of Scarborough. Breakfast is wonderful and certainly sets you up for the day. John and Christine are the perfect hosts and make your stay extra special.

The hosts at this Band B were of a different order from any B and B I have stayed in .They offered lifts to the station and round and about on a daily basis .Tea and cake were served on arrival in the beautiful garden which was ours to use whenever we wished.Breakfasts were worthy of a four star hotel and the bedrooms were tastefully decorated with good bathrooms. There was also a cosy sitting room for the exclusive use of guests.Locally the very pleasant village had a cafe and several pubs one of which was a gastropub with excellent food and a walk to the clifftops and the sea took 20 minutes.

Stayed for one night on our trip around the English countryside. We felt like we were being welcomed into the homes of the owners (which is in fact the case). Beautiful house, big rooms, a large private bathroom, everything you need. Christine and John cooked a lovely breakfast for us, with everything you could wish for (including home-made jams). You can really relax here. A big thank you to the owners. Highly recommended, definitely check this one out if you're going to the area.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Holly Croft last week and can't recommend it highly enough. Christine and John were the perfect hosts, providing a relaxed, comfortable and inviting atmosphere for our base from which to enjoy the East Yorkshire coast. Situated just 5 minutes drive from Scarborough's beaches and attractions, but well away from the hustle and bustle of the seaside resort itself, the location is perfect for those who, like us, are looking to explore this beautiful and fascinating part of the country. As well as having a large and comfortable room, guests also have access to their own lounge and the house's impressive garden. We made use of both during our week-long stay. For breakfast, there is a choice from a selection of fruit and cereals as well as the traditional Full English, which set us up perfectly for the day. Christine and John's catering background is obvious, from the cooking itself to the presentation. From the moment of our arrival, we were made to feel welcome and throughout our stay, both Christine and John were happy to give recommendations and helpful advice to ensure we got the best out of our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend the Holly Croft to anyone wanting a relaxing break in Scarborough. First class accommodation, excellent food and wonderful hosts. What's not to like?

Thank you John and Christine for a lovely peaceful stay. Lovely scones on arrival, lovely big bed. Lovely touches in the room. Appreciated the cold glass bottled water and the fan in the room. The garden is beautiful. Very tasty breakfast. Loved the pineapple and strawberries.
