Having just returned from a 7 night stay at The Crescent Hotel, I really must say the stay was first class. Having stayed at another hotel in the town for 30+ years we were a little dubious about finding somewhere else. But everything about the hotel was first class from the moment we checked in to leaving. Nice to know it’s a family hotel in the true sense of the world, and also the rest of the staff were first class. Food was excellent, a choice of the restaurant or bar type meals and everything came up to the standard. Roll on early September when we will be back for a two week stay.

We had never visited Scarborough and decided to visit for a birthday treat. We wanted a nice hotel that also allowed a dog and looked through all the available hotels. After reading all the reviews on the Crescent Hotel we booked for 3 nights. We were not disappointed, as we had a small dog we were allocated a standard room (28) which was spacious with a reasonable view and clean. All the staff were wonderful very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay and made a fuss of our little dog. The breakfast was good plenty of choice and hot food. We had our evening meals in the restaurant and enjoyed every meal. We also had lunch in the bar downstairs and again couldn’t fault the food or service. We felt sorry for the owners and staff as it was the start of the virus scare and the hotel was quiet with people cancelling their reservations. We would definitely recommend this hotel for its location and friendliness. We intend to return when everything settles down and the weather warmer. Thank you to all the staff and hope you can ride out these uncertain times.

This place has a number of winning features. A well positioned hotel with possible sea view. Car parking is excellent if you have a blue badge and free on the road outside but not too expensive if you don’t. The rooms and decor are at a high standard and very comfortable. This is one of the few British hotels we have been to in the winter that is not affraid to use the heating. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful also served to your table. Non of the buffet rubbish. The almost all female staff are wonderful and always ready to make your stay more comfortable.
