Stayed here for a long weekend. You can park outside and get a permit from the hotel. The hotel seemed very nice, it was light and airy, the corridors and woodwork were freshly painted. The room we stayed in was a double with a sea view. The bathroom was small but had a bath with a shower over it. The... More

Arrived on Sunday evening at the hotel, room fairly small but comfortable & spotlessly clean. Photo of window view attached, bomb site like view. Evening meal, served on time by smart pleasant & informative staff but, in Yorkshire you would think that making & cooking Yorkshire puddings would be a dawdle, not so, I believe that they, too mark them... We arrived a bit earlier then expected but no problem with having our room. Permit for parking the car was great as it is very limited around the hotel. Our room was fine, very clean & beds were very comfy. Decor was a little dated throughout the hotel but the corridors upstairs looked newly painted & carpeted. The food was... More

Stayed here recently for a weekend break as Scarborough is a lovely seaside location for a short break. The hotel was situated within an easy walk of the centre and a couple of minutes from the beach. Parking available on the road outside but wasn't an issue to get a space. The hotel was at capacity I would say, I... More

Stayed for 1 night. We arrived at 3pm and parked in a side street near the hotel. They gave us a ticket to put into the car which covered us until 5pm the following day. This was ideal as we wanted to spend the day in Scarborough. The hotel was clean and tidy, didn't get chance to see most of... More

We had single rooms at the back of the hotel but this didn't matter as you don't spend much time in your room at the Scarborough Congress. Lift is at bottom of the road so very handy. The rates were very good and dinner and breakfast were hot and tasty. Service was very quick and staff very helpful. Parking was... More

Not good value for money. £110 for a very small room, which was a huge disappointment. Also it had a rather late check in time of 3pm. The Website looks loads better than it actually is. The breakfast wasn't up to much. But all the staff seemed friendly and helpful.

Dated hotel. Breakfast ok but unusual that continental is served rather than self service... Maybe that's just me. Rooms are absolutely boiling be warned. All in all it's a nice hotel in a good location and probably suits certain people. Didn't try the pool or have dinner.

This hotel would have been amazing in its heyday however it is now looking tired and worn and in need of plenty of TLC. The staff in reception were professional, friendly and helpful as were the staff in the dinning room, where we had breakfast. Could not understand why there was so many wait staff and why we had to... More
