My friend and I spent a splendid, comfortable 7 nights B & B at this hotel. Throughout there is a wide variety of framed, past advertisements for theatrical events on the walls, that were fascinating to look at even for non theatrical buffs like us. The breakfasts were really good and generous. A good choice cereals to choose from, as... More

An absolute delight to visit this hotel. Lovely and quiet despite being almost a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the harbour area. Bob and Ian were interesting and helpful hosts; breakfast spot on and rooms clean and functional. It is a very quirky place which the discerning visitor will 'get' and any negative reviews really say more... More

After reading other reviews on this bed and breakfast and visiting the web site decided to book this place thinking it would be something special, it was certainly something I have not experienced before. After travelling for hours, finally arrived at the accommodation to find it is on quite a steep hill, and once you get to the road it... More

Just returned home from this hotel after just one nights stay. Had booked in for two nights but could not stand to stay another minute longer. This hotel should not be operating as it does not meet even basis standard needs. From the moment we arrived our hearts sank the exterior of the building lacks any curb appeal whatsoever .... More

My wife and I spent several enjoyable days at Ian and Bob's delightful hotel, ideally situated in a pleasant road in the old part of Scarborough, just a few minutes walk from the harbour and foreshore. Picturesque sea views are available from some of the rooms. The hotel has a theatre theme, and the proprietors have an excellent knowledge of... More

Interludes is a hotel that I return to year after year. It is a small hotel situated in the heart of Scarborough's Old Town commanding panoramic views of the South Bay from the upper floors. The proprietors Ian and Bob have an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the theatre and the hotel offers theatre packages in conjunction with The Stephen Joseph... More

I stayed for a night a few week's ago as I was going to see a Musical at the Stephen Joseph Theatre and what a pleasure it was. It is run by two theatre loving guys who were extremely friendly and helpful The rooms were very comfortable with a view over the bay (only really if you are on the... More

We've had lots of short breaks in Scarborough and tried quite a few hotels and guest houses, but often come back to Interludes. It's certainly not flash or modern but has loads of character, is in a good position, has wonderful views and is a lovely relaxing place to stay. This time we stayed in "Odeon" room, on the top... Located conveniently near the seafront, we had a wonderfully full and scenic sea view. Just two minutes from shops and an easy walk down to the beach made this an ideal location. The hotel itself is theatre-themed. With posters and programmes used for decoration. The decor is periodic (I see in previous reviews that some feel it's old and outdated... More
