I do not like giving negative reviews, but I am afraid that this is a place that is rather wanting to say the least. I am sure that the hotel is serving it's purpose as providing respite for the homeless, but it is cold , and needing the basics that most people would expect.

Good value for money, if a little strange.Stayed one night on spec and got Room 2 which is double, ensuite. Decor not quite to my taste but room was immaculately clean, the bed comfortable and everything worked. Rather grunty proprietor but as I had little to do with people there it didn't matter. Quiet square and no night noise in... More

Absolutely appalling experience. Phoned hotel as a courtesy to let them know time of arrival and told by Ian in hotel that fully booked, and no room even though we had an Expedia reservation for them for 3 nights! We arrived at 9:30pm and went to hotel to see if could sort this situation but Ian was not helpful and... More

Do not stop in this place it is not a hotel or a B&B, it is a half way house for drunks and homeless people. My family and I stayed there for 3 nights and hated every moment of it. The bedding was not clean or fresh and seemed as tho the Bed's were just remade from the previous guests... More

We were 3 Adult mails in Scarborough to watch the cricket. We were made very welcome by the friendly and helpful staff when we arrived. 2 of the party are father and son, I am a family friend. We ordered breakfast each for our stay as this is extra. The two shared a family room with on suite facilities and... More

We felt uncomfortable when we arrived, as we were greeted by a man who was very inattentive. I completely agree with other comments that he didn't seem to know why we were there, we didn't feel welcomed at all. Upon arrival we were told we couldn't have a breakfast as we hadn't paid for it, but we definitely specified that... More
