We have been coming here for over 10 years now and i wouldn't go anywhere else, this place honestly feels more like a second home to a hotel. Lawrence and his staff are so friendly and welcoming we always have a great time with them. There are guaranteed laughs in the bar in the evenings as Lawrence has natural gift... More

We stayed in The Gordon for one night and wish we stayed longer, a really homely welcoming Hotel, the family room was more like a self contained flat with 2 separate bedrooms both spacious, the master bedroom was a larger double bed and so comfy it was hard to leave it haha, kids room had 3 single beds and still... Another fantastic few days at this wonderful hotel, if your up for a brilliant time then this is the hotel for you. Lawrence is a host with a cracking sense of humour. The rooms are cleaned everyday and the breakfast will keep you going all day. They could even double their prices and I'd still go back as would many... More

Just spent a week at the Gordon, and had such a great time that I felt the need to sign up to Trip Advisor for the first time to share my experience. The Gordon is a great place to stay - we were made to feel really welcome and looked after very well. If you enjoy a good laugh and... More

Brilliant stay as usual. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Scarborough. Home from home. Lawrence is the best host you could ask for laughs galore. You start your stay not knowing anybody but by the end of the week Lawrence makes sure you have made many new friends.

If you want breakfast only between 8 - 8.30 am, like dated decor, and enjoy intrusive 'banter', then this is the place for you. Room was clean and beds comfortable, but the owner was unwelcoming and nosy. As soon as we arrived, the owner immediately asked for our breakfast choices. Rather than offering us the menu to look through, he... More

Stayed here for a week for a family break. The room we had comprised of a double and a single bed, en suite with shower etc. The position of the hotel is really good. It's a short walk down the hill to the north bay and the beach, peaseholme park, and the open air theatre. Also a short walk away... More

Right from the initial greeting by the host offering a cup of tea this accommodation was tremendous. Considerate friendly and offering good advice. We were lucky to find this hotel. The breakfast was first class and there was a small bar for drinks at half the price of the pub. Clean and tidy and well organized.

Had a long weekend here with wife and two daughters. Hotel overlooks Peasholm Park on a very quiet street. Was given a warm welcome and a cup of tea on arrival which made all the difference after a long drive. Room was spacious and clean and the breakfasts were spot on. Staff couldn't do enough for us and were all... More

We were recommended this hotel by my sister and we weren't disappointed. Very welcoming and friendly. A cuppa tea on arrival and the children were made to feel at home. The rooms were fantastic and very clean and breakfast was amazing with a good choice to suite all.
