This was a nice hotel run by a mature, friendly lady. We liked the breakfast and the hotel was quiet, clean and pleasing enough on the eye. The owner has a dog that doesn't seem that friendly - don't try to stroke it. The only thing that spoiled this place was the rock hard mattresses on the beds. Neither my...

Lovely building in a good location to stroll down to the front. Great four poster room and quality breakfast options. Anne is the best hostess you could wish to meet and makes the difference between the extensive competition in Scarbrough. It's nice to be able to relax while the world around the Redcliffe rushes by. A+++++

This is a little gem in a fab location by the lift and the spa. Fabulous and very friendly welcome. Small mistake of being allocated a twin room instead of a double was very easily fixed in the friendliest possible way. Room with character and with all amenities, nice toiletries, very good value.

On a whim we decided to stay the night in Scarborough rather than face a six-hour journey home with a car full of kids. Like Mary and Joseph we went from inn to inn looking for a place to stay. The woman on reception at the Red Lea nicely offered to call around and finally found availability at the Redcliffe....

We were staying in Scarborough for the Blues Festival and chose this hotel mainly for location as it is about three minutes walk from the cliff lift ,which takes you down to the spa and the venue for the festival. Very friendly welcome from the owner who is a charming lady. Well appointed and spotlessly clean room, the decor in...

A lovely place to spend a weekend (or longer). The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and it was very easy to relax there. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It was great to be able to park our car outside the door and then be able to walk easily in to town. There are great views from the...

We stayed at this hotel in July for my son's graduation. We arrived to a warm friendly welcome. There is a lift to all floor which is handy as I was on crutches. You receive a parking permit and parking was easy on the street outside. We had three rooms for sole occupancy, room 1 a triple, room 6 a...
