Just returned from 5 nights at this lovely hotel. Never had such a warm welcome anywhere! Jo even walked to our room with us, usually you're just given directions. Comfortable and warm with lots of little extra touches. A fridge on the landing holds small bottles of fresh milk with your room number on, so much nicer than UHT. Breakfast...

Excellent place to stay. Friendly, helpful owners. Very reasonable rates. Large room. Excellent cooking, with fresh fruit for breakfast and lovely dinners (optional) - Robert hasn't quite shed his previous life as a chef! Highly recommended.

Spacious and clean room with all the facilities you'd expect, including an electric power shower (very small cubicle, so not good if you're claustrophobic, but that can't be helped). Nice breakfast, great location (within easy walking distance of the town and seafront, but far enough away that it's quiet) and very friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend it.

My family and I stayed for two nights in late August and had a lovely visit. The hotel is lovely - it's a great old building, but with everything that you'd expect from a modern hotel. Joanna and Robert are very welcoming hosts and the breakfasts that they provide enough to keep you going all day! We had a bulb...

Stayed here early August in Room 8 and the top of the house for 3 night before moving onto Whitby for another 3 nights. First of all what a beautiful grand Victorian building!
