My wife and I stayed in the Peasholm Penthouse in Lockton House for a much needed 10 day break. The penthouse, as well as being spotlessly clean, was also tastefully decorated and well furnished with all the kitchen utensils needed. Hand sanitiser was sited next to the lift doors on all floors, inside each apartment, at building entrance points and various other strategic points. It really did make you feel as covid secure as you can possibly be. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and even managed to get us early excess to our room. I would also like to thank Helena, who kindly provided us with all the information on the apartments that were available to rent during our break. This is the 3rd occasion that we stayed at The Sands Complex, and it wont be the last............. highly recommended.…
We stayed in Lockton 307 with a sea view. The kitchen was very well stocked, the view was fantastic and the apartment was spotless. We arrived at 12pm to take advantage of parking the car in the free space. The reception girls were really friendly and as our check in was 4pm they said they would phone us if our apartment was ready earlier. We headed into Scarborough to make the most of the day and was pleasantly surprised to get a call at 2-45pm to say we could make our way back and check in. The walk upto the Old Scalby Mills pub is great and the food and beer was top notch. I would recommend these apartments, you won’t be disappointed!
I would highly recommend the apartment we stayed in here. It was well furnished and had everything we needed but the best part was the view of the beach, sea and Scarborough Castle especially on a morning with the sunrise behind the castle. The sofa was opposite the balcony doors so we could sit there and watch the tide go on and out. There were enough things to do nearby and still have a fairly lazy October half term. Scarborough Castle, Peasholm Park, the sea life centre were all places we visited and plenty of places available to eat out. The only disappointment was the gym - we were expecting 'state of the art' as advertised and there were only weights, no cardio equipment,we didn't bother using it.
Fourth time say here, sea view apartment was ok. In need of a little tlc. Some kind of picture/mirror missing from wall leaving unsightly empty space with screw and wall plug highly visible. Fridge not working correctly. In my opinion these should have been sorted prior to the accommodation being let again. Standard is ok here but not the 5 star it used to be.
