We stayed in room 38 for two nights at a end of season price, our room was on the second floor, a light, nice sized room with a double bed and ensuite bathroom with bath. Clean to a reasonable standard, enjoyable views over the gardens and the cutest window. Breakfast was fine, plenty of choice and of a good quality.... More

Nice and a little bit old fashion hotel located in very quiet surroundings in a beautiful park. Room was newly updated and nice, and had a lovely view to the park. The bathroom was very small. Breakfast was a little bit messy but okay.

I stayed in this hotel with a friend for a couple of nights. Our en suite room was quite basic, but perfect for our needs as we were visiting the Donkey Sanctuary. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The car park is very small, but there is an additional car park if you drive past the main hotel building.... More

From the presentation it is a beautiful place and it is. The gardens and main house date way back and are a pleasure to be in. Just make sure to ask what room you're booking. The annex is very basic and tired the mattress needed replacing years ago. On the plus side it was quiet and serine and the breakfast... More

This hotel is set in a most beautiful location, with a beautiful garden. It is a rather old fashioned traditional hotel. It has a front and back entrance with a nice large carpark. The rooms were about average and breakfast was a serve yourself affair with a full English breakfast. Good quality room and slept like a log, very quiet. The... More

Last minute booking for one night, booked direct after checking on comparison site. Very friendly staff who went oust of their way to help, room with ensuite, clean and spacious, good supply of coffee and tea. Only had breakfast as needed to book for evening meal, good choice of cerials, porridge, cooked and toast. Staff attentive to your needs.

We stayed in the annexe, which provided very poor accommodation. The rooms had stains on the carpet and furniture that had not been replaced since the 1980s or earlier. But the main problem was that the building was extremely noisy. Creaking floorboards, banging doors and noisy water pipes meant that a good night's sleep was nigh on impossible. Staff were... More

This hotel was well below the standards you expect from a hotel these days. The decor was very dated and the buildings well over due a refit. Old tolet air fresheners on window sill. The hotel had buggies parked in the entrance to the hotel and was very untidy in all of the public areas. At breakfast the only tables were... More

I didn't realise on booking that Sidholme is a Christian Guild Hotel offering a variety of 'themed activity breaks' and 'stay as you please' options. The Georgian mansion set in 9 acres of landscaped grounds offers a warm welcome and daily prayers in the magnificent music room with its gothic style organ if you choose. It's very much a do...
