We stayed for 4 nights at the Blue Ball Inn whilst playing golf in the area. The Blue Ball offers excellent en-suite rooms, good parking, with good food and drink in the pub. Every morning we looked forward to their lovely breakfast, and ate very well in their restaurant the night before.

Today we went to the Blue Ball Inn for our lunch. Hubby & I were so impressed with the amazing gluten free varied options on the menu! We were even told that anything on the specials board we liked the look of the chef could adapt to be gluten free, too! We really enjoyed our choices, too! Service great as... More

Service excellent, found us a table ,not having booked. We chose the carvery and enjoyed the meal .A reduced rate for seniors, did not seem any smaller !! Vegetables fresh and with a good clientele kept being refreshed from the kitchen. The new potatoes very good , fresh and Cornish. The carver was knowledgable and had a good rapport with his customers,he... More

Our welcome was the most friendly attentive one I have experienced for some time. Specials board is worth investigating. Service was good and the food lived up to expectations. Large car park which is just as well as there is nowhere else to park on this busy road to Lymme Regis. Great selection of real ales.

Popped in here for a pint and a quick reccy as its just down the road and never been. Friendly bar staff, a couple of nice local ales and beer garden means I'll be back with the family for a meal to try out the food at some point in the not too distant future.

Decided that for my partners birthday we would try here as after moving to the area had always seen it as a popular choice. I had booked a table specifically in the snug yet when we turned up the table was occupied and the couple seemed to be part way through their food so we were then shown to anothet... More

Have to agree with the comments re customer service. Rude waiter and waitress, and an incompetent chef couldn't even produce a rare steak. Lovely chips though. Left feeling cheated and annoyed, as soon as I politely raised an issue with my food, the staff attitude turned very cold, they closed ranks and became almost hostile. Poor, naive, lazy service with... More

Despite being fairly busy we were able to get seated, served with drinks at the bar and ordered our carvery. The meat choices were good - turkey, ham and beef (beef too rare for our liking), but the vegetables had just been restocked so our meals were spot on. Apart from the carvery there was an extensive menu and a... More

I have recently located to this area thought that this could be local pub/ restaurant for me and my partner especially as they are dog friendly! We pleasantly surprised with our meal considering that the pub was quite busy. My partner and I even discussed coming back again that was until we ordered our second round of drinks. The bar...
