We received a very warm welcome. Receptionists were very helpful. We booked a sea view room. Room was small with a sloping ceiling. We had a small sitting area with two comfortable chairs with a TV. Also a juliette balcony with a good view. Our bathroom was very small but adequate. We had to change rooms (we knew this when... More

We had a lovely stay of one night at the hotel,. The lady on the reception could not have been more welcoming and gave us lots of information and help with our stay in sidmouth. The hotel has a delightful reception,. Restaurant and terrace with stunning views. The corridors are definitely in need of a lift,. As was the décor... More

First impression is of a very pleasant hotel on the seafront. Room was a great disappointment. No. 306. Yes we had a sea ire with a Juliet balcony. However the room was in the attic, small and you couldn't walk around the bed standing up. Nor could you open up the single door to the Juliet without rearranging the furniture.... More

Excellent selection and quality of food , friendly service , nothing was too much trouble . We were welcomed after a very long journey with tea , coffee and cakes served in the lounge whilst luggage was taken to room and even placed on suitcase stand ready to unpack ! Lovely sea facing room with refurbished but rather small shower... More

The above hotel is a fabulous place to stay when in Sidmouth. Just across the road is the shingle beach and 100 yards away is the centre of town . The hotel itself is spotlessly clean in all areas . All the rooms are ensuite clean and comfortable. The food is excellent and great staff . A definite recommendation from... More

Just spent 3 lovely days at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful to the point that nothing was too much for them. The room was clean, comfortable and roomy with everything we needed. The food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal. The morning coffee and afternoon tea provided in the lounge was a lovely bonus. Thank you... More

I was a solo traveler and booked a single room with seaview. The room was a nice size, unusual for a single and the bathroom had obviously been renovated, which was also a nice size. See picture below for the unhindered view of the sea from the window. The hotel sits right across the road from the shingle beach, and... More

Celebrating grandad’s 80th birthday, and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. He was given a ground floor room with a walk-in shower, and with view on the sea. Hotel and rooms in general are very clean and tidy. All staff were very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. We had to change rooms throughout our stay, from a... More

We went to this hotel because The Elizabeth was having renovation done. The food was really good the best food we have ever had at Christmas, entertainment was not very good the carol singers being the best. But Oh dear the guests that were there I have never heard so many people talk about their ailments and problems, my husband... More

Fabulous hotel, very clean premises, friendly staff, excellent food, Bedrooms with a sea view are a must, to lie in bed listening to the sea is heaven (although could do without the seagulls!) Very central location for a stroll along the front or a visit to the shops behind. Thank you so much for a lovely stay
