Great location and splendid surroundings but sadly constant rummaging from above. Could hear full conversations and every movement! Had to sleep with radio on! Haven't sampled any food yet but won't be coming back for that very reason. Sorry may just have been heavy footed neighbours upstairs! Beware very thin walls and floors

If you like silence, river, trees and do not mind to have 10 minutes beatiful walk to seapromenade, this hotel is for you. Located inside large park area by riverside, there is plenty of greenery and birds around. The staff of the hotel is very friendly. Hotel is a little bit old-fashioned in a good way. Lovely rooms, a lot... More

Very good hotel in most respects. Good location within 10 minutes walk of town centre. Staff friendly abd helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, and breakfasts were good. Bed a little soft for our liking. What we didn't like was that our room, #21, had a bath plus a "hand-held" shower attachment. No place to attach the shower to the... More

We changed our booking from another hotel to this one at the last moment and did not regret our choice. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent, the staff extremely helpful, especially over the matter of a gluten-free diet, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the parking plentiful. While this sort of hotel inevitably caters for an older age group, we were... More

A very good traditional hotel, set in its own large gardens, with ample parking ,just a 10/15 mins stroll from the sea front .We had a good sized twin room with a big bathroom and a very good shower, The beds were comfortable and the only problem with sleep was the humid nights. The food was in the main very... More

Nice traditional hotel in a garden environment ten minutes walk from Sidmouth centure. Very attentive staff, nothing to much trouble. Lovelly breakfast with lots of choice. This hotel is very well maintained with a lot of attention paid to the traditional decor the odd sqweekey floor board witch I think adds to the charm. The garden has lots of trees... More

Excellent accommodation in country house setting, within 10 mins walk of beach and town. Excellent friendly service from the staff, large room with large bathroom which had very large bath / shower. Lots of power points in room, including both sides of bed (major hotels take note!). Quiet area overnight even with window fully open. Can be warm in afternoon... More

We stayed for one night, on arrival found staff very friendly and helpful. Set in lovely grounds. Was within easy walking distance to Sidmouth centre and beach. Room was clean and looked out onto gardens. The room we had our breakfast in was clean and laid out lovely... Plus there was plenty of choice. And was very good. Plus staff... More
