All was going quite well until the slats supporting our mattresses gave way in the middle of the night. They had clearly failed before. Hopefully the staff will eventually spot the issue and replace the beds. Breakfast was good but very slow and we were put off by chairs on tables in half the restaurant which was not at all...

1 night midweek stay, off the beaten track , good value , comfy bed, good shower, free parking and wifi ( which is a bit slow, but then the place is 800 years old😊) . Lovely old Inn with beams and open fires, good choice of wines and beers and the menu was varied and good value. Service was great,...

A table for 9 for my birthday! Found the Brocket Arms on trip adviser and delighted with the fund. Very traditional olde English Pub. Small but perfectly formed dining room. The roast dinner, both pork and the beef were very plentiful and very tasty! Couldn't fault it. Just a shame that the weather hadn't been better as the garden is...

Stayed here whilst visiting and managed to turn up a day late. No problems at all for the superb staff (although slightly eccentric......read mad!) who just looked at me funny and swapped the booking to the correct days. Loved the room in the courtyard which was more than enough for a couple of nights, quiet, decently equipped with everything that...

Rooms at a pub - some upstairs, some in separate block. Nice village location. Scary single track roads to access the property. The rooms need some updating and some better cleaning - high level dusting and low level cleaning. Carpets need replacing they were brown and very marked. The bed was uncomfortable - with a spring mattress. On the plus...

I visited on Saturday evening with my wife and we had an excellent meal in the garden. It is in a very pleasant location to sit on a warm evening with plenty of places to park. There also ppeared to be some animals at teh edge of the garden.

We stayed here for a one night for a friends wedding & couldn't find fault! We had a room in the pub that had a four poster bed in a very large vaulted room, dripping with character. We were a family of 6 & the kids had inflatable beds made up on the floor & a cot for our youngest...

Just a truly diamond find! Sitting in the sun sipping cider, a walk in the countryside, fab food and accommodation. The hosts are fantastic and the selection of guest ales and local ciders just brilliant. I won't be staying in a premier inn again after finding this near my place of work! Absolutely brilliant!

Stayed for one night with a colleague whilst working in the area, a hidden gem , vey old place hidden away , great to have no mobile signal for a change. Very friendly locals , nice atmosphere , clean tidy . I had the four poster bed room , wasted by myself I must say . No sightings of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
*UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT FROM 8th NOVEMBER*Please pop in for a warm welcome, warm open log fires and great food and beers x. This delightful country inn was built in the 14th century and retains all the traditional features including inglenook fireplaces and a wealth of exposed beams. Following its closure last year we have carried out extensive refurbishment of the pub and rooms. This has resulted in us being awarded 4 star inn status by the AA reflecting the high standard of the accommodation. We have also been fortunate to find a fantastic chef who is using fresh and, where possible, locally sourced produce to create unpretentious modern dishes. We look forward to welcoming you to The Brocket Arms. ... more   less
