This is a beautiful place. We arrived late evening, and really appreciated our warm room and the supply of drinks, including the great coffee machine. Everything felt luxurious and comfortable. The room was a great space. We had breakfast, which was excellent. I had the smoked salmon on sourdough, with mushroom and grilled tomato...it was perfect. The Cow Shed for dining, is bright and tastefully decorated....the sort of place that feels lively and informal. We definitely intend to stay there again.

Went to the day time farm yard session with 5 other friends and had such a lovely afternoon filled with great drinks and delicious food. The live music and atmosphere were dreamy. And great service throughout.

We stayed as a last minute thing for our anniversary and were really impressed. The hotel is lovely and our room was spotless. Staff are helpful and the room rate is really reasonable. We were sad to leave and wished we’d booked for an extra night! Would have like to explore the grounds on the morning we left but it was chucking it down with rain! We’ll definitely be back after this second lockdown!

Well the room is perfect for families. The kids didn’t want to share a double bed (quite natural) and loved the mezzanine level where they were. We enjoyed the room, watching tv on the double beds, hot chocolates, nice rituals smellies. No bathrobe or info in room (covid related?). Wifi was good though no good if, like me, you set up devices at night ready for a lie in whilst kids went in gadgets as you get logged off again overnight (or after a certain time?) and kids could not resolve themselves so no lie in! My only complaint was breakfast. The coffee was so weak (served in pot, no nice cafetiere) I was revlieved to have a nespresso back in room. Also my bacon was all grey looking (past it’s best) so I asked for it to be replaced but they only replaced 1 piece leaving 2 grey looking ones which I didn’t eat because I pointed out to a waitress again who agreed it looked horrid but did nothing. This was a most bizarre piece as everything else about the Cowshed had been amazing (evening meal too) but I have to know a star off just for this as it leaves a niggly feeling. We were in Kingfisher. Good news is you can park outside. Bad news is it is gravel so quite noisy when cars come and go.
