We had our wedding at Homestead Court Hotel in June 2019 and I was so impressed with everything on the day. The grounds are kept beautifully and there is always someone on hand to help with everything. We had the BBQ option and the food was unreal, it has been commented on by many of the guests too (we were lucky in that we had 27 degree weather on the day though, so the BBQ suited it well). The ceremony room was prepped the day before, which put my mind at ease! Meaning we could go and add our own little touches we had made to the room. I can not fault how the room was set up, everything about it and the service on the day was amazing. Kaska, you deserve a medal. You were so great in the run up. You were available at all times for appointments etc, which really helped as we work full time and its hard to get out of work for an hour. No time was too much trouble. It was all dealt with very professionally and the way you worked on the day - OUTSTANDING. Along with your whole team. Thank you so so much for making our day just what we wanted, we were so happy with how everything turned out. Now I dont want to dampen any thanks to Kaska and the team, but there were a few points that I think personally, need to be improved. - The rooms are VERY out dated. Old and quite frankly not comfortable to stay in. Luckily I had the bridal suite for both nights, and that room is perfect. But the guest rooms I visited during my stay, were very very dark and dingy. - The booking system is quite frankly, an absolute shambles. We booked specific rooms, months in advance, because we needed ground floor rooms to store various wedding bits and bobs. When we arrived to check in the day before, we had been allocated rooms on the 2nd floor, which is not what we asked for (having specifically spoken to someone and seeing that our names had been allocated the rooms we wanted etc). My mother also had some problems on check out as she had paid for a friends room in advance and was told on check out this had NOT been paid. My mum then had to drive all the way home, to collect the receipt to prove that it had been paid for. These sort of mistakes should not be being made in a hotel like this. - Lastly, the fact there is no allocated disabled toilet, I think is actually terrible. And the story behind the whole of this is even more frightening! My sister was allocated a room downstairs (The Stanborough room) and later in the night, realised that the door didn't lock! She wasn't that bothered as it was just somewhere for her to sleep and no belongings were left in there anyway (but that isn't the point). At check out the next day, we were told that the disabled toilet allocated within the building, was ACTUALLY INSIDE THE STANBOROUGH ROOM (which my sister had been allocated to sleep in, this is why the door didn't lock!!!) I am sorry, but the fact you have given someone a room, that you class as the disabled toilet, for ANYONE within the hotel to use, is absolutely appalling! I really do think something needs to be done about this ASAP. Overall, we had the most amazing day and I don't want my grumbles with the hotel to tarnish our opinions of Kaska and the team, as they were absolutely great and couldn't have asked for better. I just think there are some improvements that need to be made within the hotel. Again, thank you so much to everyone who helped on the day, we really could not fault it! You made our day so so special and for that, we will be forever grateful!

Ideal hotel for us to stay while visiting Welwyn, nice quiet location next to a park and within walking distance of local shops . Rooms probably not very trendy but very clean and comfortable with everything you need. The best thing about the hotel is the very helpful staff and the breakfast buffet, lots of choice and freshly cooked. Will definitely be back.

I stayed in this lovely hotel with my partner on a Saturday night in May. We were warmly greeted by the Receptionist and check-in was a quick and simple process. After any journey you can’t ask for more. Our room was a real gem. Large, clean and welcoming, with lovely views over the landscaped garden situated to the rear of the hotel. Located in the eaves of the hotel on the top floor, it had everything we needed. I was particularly delighted with the lovely corner bath, a nice touch when you lead a busy life and showers are the norm. We regretted not eating in the hotel that evening. We ate at a local Indian restaurant and we weren’t overwhelmed with the food. Breakfast however at the hotel was delicious. Lots to choose from and all the food was regularly topped up. We had the pleasure of talking to the hotel owner during breakfast who was busy helping staff and making sure the guests were happy. I think this says a lot about the hotel and we will definitely be staying here again in the future :)

My wife and I stayed here for one night as we were attending a friend's birtdhay party being held in the hotel. On arriveal we were upgraded to the Hertford room. The room was an adequate size (not sure precisely what the upgrade is over nornal rooms) with a comffortable bed. The decor is a little dated, but the room was clean and the bathroom had been more recently refurbished. There is an aircon unit in the room and although it was a little noisy to use, it is a welcome addition even in the UK as hotel rooms can often get warm and stuffy. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The party had been wel organised and everything seemed to go without a hitch. The only criticism here is that the bar prices are a little high, but this is quite often the case in hotels. Breakfast the following morning was of a good quality with plenty of choice and very nice bacon. Overall the stay was very good value given the price we paid.
