The reason I have given 3 stars is because we pop in now and again for a drink and the atmosphere is lovely as well as having a lovely garden, covered patio and roof terrace, it is a really lovely spot for a drink especially in the sunshine. Because of this, we decided to pop in for Sunday lunch and... More

Good food, quick service from friendly waitress. Very pleased that our local now serves good food. When it first opened after refurbishment we were disappointed and hadn't eaten there since. Hope they can maintain the standard & not decline like so many other eateries.

When you book directly with the place and upon arrival find that they only booked one room instead of two you can judge the level of our stay. Luckily we had a confirmation of the Booking evidencing the two rooms as this was questioned by Reception. We booked for two nights, two rooms and only one of our rooms was... More

The best feature of the hotel (and of the adjoining pub) is the staff. But also everywhere is spotlessly clean and fresh. We were given a thermos of cold milk on arrival - a first for me and so much nicer than UHT pots! Our stay was already perfect for us but a bonus was when I left behind a... More

We had walked away from awful roasts at The Merlin, and hoped we could get in.lovely welcome from waitress, but no one around as you went in.ordered roasts, large portions, really well cooked , thoroughly enjoyable, no room for pudding!

Had a nice weekend here, staying at the hotel and eating both nights in the adjoining restaurant. Room was fine,if a little hot as the windows are restricted. We found there were fans which we had second night which really helped. Staff in hotel lovely and friendly and we were offered fresh milk for team which was a nice touch.... More

Went for a family tea- good choice of food and absolutely lovely interior to the building. One lady served us the whole time we were there (a young girl with long brown hair) she ran around and did everything for us so very good service! Food was good and tasty would defiantly eat there again.

My partner and I stopped in for some dinner on the way home from the airport in February and were really and truly left gobsmacked by the standard of the service that we received. We had pre booked a table, expecting that it probably would be busy as it was a Sunday evening. When we arrived, there were no staff... More

This was an over night stop, I wish it had been longer! We enjoyed the lodge, pub and excellent breakfast. The staff were all very helpful and approachable. The pub is next door to the lodge, a quick walk to great food, drinks and atmosphere. Well done Bull's head!

Since The Bulls Head had been refurbished we have been visiting it on almost weekly basis. Great staff, service all reasonably priced. Nice outdoor area with plenty of seats inside. Would be 5 star if menu was updated on frequent basis as it gets a bit old after few visits... Good scores all round. Safe and steady :)
