After a hard graft cycling from Glenshee and trying to get through the Cairngorn Mountains, I was relieved to get to Ballater and have a relaxing nights sleep. Only downside with my room upstairs was no television present but in all honesty, I didn't require one as I needed to catch up on rest time and also get my cycling... More

Our cycling tour stopped off here en route to John O'Groats. We were immediately welcomed with a smile by the lovely lady owner. The house is perfectly located close to the village centre. We were lucky to have the large room with mega bathroom in the front. Breakfast was very good with a good choice. The best thing of all... More

Stayed only one night in this lovely old residence. Close to everything but on a quiet side street across from the river Dee. Room and bed were very comfortable. We were in the Invercauld room with a view of the front garden. Diane made us a tasty breakfast as well as making us feel very welcome.

We just spent a night there and it was a pity because the area was beautiful and the B&B excellent. Big room with big lovely bathroom, excellent breakfast with a view and great lounge with sofas & TV to unwind. A hidden gem with great prices!

We booked 2 rooms at the last minute, and were delighted with all aspects of the ledge. The lodge is a lovely old building, beautifully updated and maintained on a quiet, tranquil lot. The two rooms were very pretty, well appointed, beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcomed. We would definitely... More

We very much enjoyed our stay here and had a very comfortable and large room. The hostess was very helpful. The bedding was very attractive with comfortable pillows. It was well placed to visit Balmoral and the surrounding area.

Good location, beautifully appointed guest house, very friendly staff and excellent food. Very good decor throughout. Special dietary needs not fully understood by proprietor but after explanations were given, everything went very well and our party would not hesitate to return if opportunity arose.

Stayed here in a cycling tour, tired and in need of rest this place was ideal. Lovely hot showers, warm rooms and being a stones from the main Village of Ballater. Welcoming grand brekkie with plenty of choice. On the opposite side of the road is the River Dee with a bench to watch the fast flowing river with the... More

We stayed at Inchgeal Lodge for one night during a road trip through Scotland. The Lodge is a beautiful old house from the 1890's and furnished with a lot attention to detail. Our host Diane was very kind and welcoming. We had a room facing to the houses front with a lovely view. Room and facilities were clean and well... More
