We visited Cornfields as a group of walkers after a 5.5mile walk. The location is beautiful and the bar is small but has a lot of character. We were promptly served drinks by the owner who went through the process with no banter. As only one person from our group was having a starter we asked if there was bread... More

A great little hotel with a good restaurant set in a fantastic picturesque countryside location. I was looking for somewhere friendly, relaxing and quite to stay before heading into Bedford on business. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious had uninterrupted views of the beautiful countryside out the windows. Everything one needs in the room tea, coffee, water and... More

I stayed here on business and it was lovely. I wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing with some character, the cornfields delivered just that. Rooms were a bit pricy but clean and had everything that I needed! The food was good too! I would go back and I recommend it to others.

The room was absolutely stunning, the staff are very friendly and cater for all needs, the food is delicious and nothing is over priced. Had the best nights sleep, extra blankets and pillows in the room if needed, wi-fi is free and get lots of complimentary toiletries and biscuits in the room

The hotel is brilliant, the rooms are located just outside a beautiful 700 year old pub, mind your head. Very comfortable, food is fantastic, staff are friendly and extremely welcoming. Rooms are roomy, clean and comfortable, good value all in all.

Great place and people, nothing is too much trouble. I stay here regularly when travelling for business and it's a home from home .... With better food :) As I'm not an early starter they even send me off to the office with a breakfast parcel. Couldn't ask for any more.

We had the pleasure of staying here over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in the Bay which was decked out with Japanese theme and very comfortable. The evening meal we had was amazing as was the breakfast. The Manager and his staff were fantastic. The bar area was lovely with an open fire, very homely. We certainly... More

Unfortunately, this tuned out to be one of the most disappointing stays in recent times. A piece of metal / brass wire in one of our dishes during the evening meal (with basically a blasé attitude from the staff when this was pointed out), combined with the fact that the cleaner banged on the door extremely hard in the morning... A friend and I had a one night stay at this gorgeous hotel, with the bed and breakfast option only, each of us having our own room. The owner Graham is charming and was waiting with our keys when we arrived, allowing us a slightly earlier check-in to accomodate our plans to go to a wedding in a nearby village.... More

I booked the Dovecote room in this lovely 17th century Inn for a birthday treat for my partner. We were not disappointed. Cornfields is a lovely place to stay. Graham, the owner gives a warm welcome (literally too: a roaring log fire) and excellent service. The owners have a great eye for detail. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and... More
