Charming room in a lovely old building with original features and a great terrace/garden at the back. It is located on a quiet road and is only a 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Bedford. The breakfast is excellent and cooked to order. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Loved this hotel, amazing staff and beautiful quirky rooms - modern with nods to traditional with lovely pieces of old furniture. Will definitely return! Breakfast was brilliant, and a beautiful outdoor area. Plenty of parking at the hotel or on the road
The first room we were sent to was not accessible for me as it was up very steep open metal steps. The receptionist was fine about moving us to another room although she did say I should mention my fear of heights when booking. Not something I would normally do when booking a hotel room. We were fine with the bath in the bedroom but not the toilet with glass doors that didn't meet, and the tea tray on a table immediately outside the doors. The TV near the ceiling above the toilet was also not good. We crept in at midnight, only to be kept awake until 1.15 by people shouting and banging. It only stopped when we banged on the wall. We were woken again at 6.30 am Sunday by cleaners dragging furniture, vacuuming and calling to each other in very loud voices. No relaxing lie in for us, just early breakfast with no muesli, yoghurt etc, and stale bread in.plastic bags on the 'continental ' table. The cooked breakfast was poor quality and not enjoyable. We left tired and dissapointed.…
D'Parys was a great stay! Quirky decor that felt very Paris from 100 years ago - in a good way! Food delish, bed comfy, staff full of smiles and good cocktails at the end of the night. Something to watch - make sure you check out the pics of your room. The bathroom is within the main room - make sure you're OK with that (we were 🙂). Decent price too with great breakfast included
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the UK. I tell you why. It was in a beautiful location in Bedford. We had a fab twin spacious trendy room. The breakfast was lovely and more than any thing else this 😍 staff team were just kind and treated us with so much love ❤️. Highly recommended x
We choose this hotel as we were attending a wedding next door at the boys school so it was a great location and easy walk to the town, staff very friendly and all very nice , room was very large for double so lots of space Really enjoyed our stay
We had a great time at the hotel , the food was delicious at both evening meal and breakfast. The room and hotel are quirky but lovely, all of the staff were friendly and helpful We will definitely be back!
We stayed in the Ramrod signature room, first impressions of the room: very big, nice comfortable bed, loved the kissing baths. The room was also very clean. Linens felt lovely. The room did feel like it needed some work on it however, the vanity wood was broken, the ceiling lights do not match the decor at all and the giant purple ironing board by the window ruined the look of the room. When we first entered the room the windows had been left open and it was absolutely freezing in there! The rooms are also very noisy, when people are walking outside you can hear every word that is said. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially at dinner. Dinner time was very busy but it felt intimate despite this as there was enough space between tables. Food at dinner was ok, nice but nothing to write home about. Breakfast however was outstanding.…
Great rooms and really nice decor . This is a venue full of character and our room had many nice features . The hotel/ pub was decorated with loads of great quirky finish’s such as the recycled gutter hopper lights . HOWEVER , sleeping overnight there was a constant hum from I assume the heating system and at about 7am we had the loud thumping of music rising up from the kitchen . Thankfully the manager dealt with that . All in all a lovely venue spoilt by a lack of attention to detail .
Hotel is in a nice location and is quirky inside. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable. However, something was left running all night which stopped abruptly at 7am but meant we had very little sleep. The noise was terrible and seemed to reverberate in the radiators and pipes. Food was good. Lovely staff in the evening but lady at breakfast was quite rude. When we left no one asked about our stay, so no opportunity to feed back on stay at departure
