Stayed here whilst visiting my daughter. Only 15 mins level walk from train station and city centre, but in a quiet tree lined street. Had a small single room with a single bed which was fine for me, only downside was I had to go upstairs to the bathroom as it wasn't ensuite. It wasn't a problem unless you had... More

We stayed at the Townhouse for one night ad part of a walking holiday along Hadrian's Wall. The B&B is a 10 minute walk from the train station and is along a very nice road of grand Victorian houses. We were greeted warmly by Christine, the owner and she took our breakfast and packed lunch orders for the next day.... More

We stayed in a very small room with a bad wet smelling. Really bad and worn out beds! Bathroom was very, very small. No view from Windows. Noise from the hostfamily and their guests in the evening and they were smoking outside, just beneath our window. The host was very friendly though and the packed lunch nice.

The hostess was friendly and she cooked a great breakfast. The internet worked great, and the B&B is a short walk to town. We really enjoyed the walk through the residential area, we had no idea the town had flooded back in December, you could not tell at the B&B, super clean and no signs of flooding

I had the pleasure of staying here whilst on business. Ideally situated for my needs but also for the close proximity to the town centre. Helpful proprietors ensure that you enjoy your stay as well as providing a good range of breakfasts to choose from.

Stayed on several occasions now as part of our annual trip to Scotland and can't fault the friendly welcome and good breakfast. Good value for money. Clean comfy. What you expect from a family run B&B

There's a Premier Inn a little way down the road, if you like "plastic pod" bathrooms, a Beefeater pub beneath your room and all you can eat buffet breakfasts that've sat out for hours by all means go there... If you want a characterful Victorian terraced house, an owner that remembers the conversation you had the day before, a freshly... More

Stayed for one night at the Townhouse Bed and Breakfast as I was in Carlisle for a gig at the Old Fire Station. B&B is 5 mins walk from the edge of town and a 10 min walk max to the railway station. Had a single room with shared bathroom that was spotless. Breakfast was from a choice of foods... More

Having booked this B&B months in advance of the actual stay I had forgotten exactly what I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it easily from Carlisle station (10 minutes walk) and the rooms fairly modern! The lady running things (I don't remember her name!) was nice and friendly, and my room was significantly bigger than expected. The... More
