Stayed one night on business, breaking a journey from Edinburgh to Yorkshire. Easy to find from M6 although a fair way out of Carlisle itself. My single room was good value, clean and confortable, although the mattress was a bit tired. Friendly owners, good cooked breakfast. Much, much better than a room at a motorway services - I'll be using...

Arrived late and left early next morning - in between we were looked after very well by Sue and Warren. Slept well and enjoyed a very good breakfast. Will stay again on our way to our holiday home in the Scottish Highlands.

Stayed here twice now as close to Nestle Dalston. Easy to find, ample parking, comfortable rooms, very friendly owners. Breakfast is excellent. Would definitely stay again, Try the Lowther Inn just the other side of the M6 for a nice evening meal 5 minutes in the car away.

The owners were most welcoming & explained where everything was in the building. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of options. I will definitely stay here again & am presently...

It is in the countryside yet still close to the motorway and within driving distance of Carlisle. There is no bar but I was told the property is licensed...

I decided to stay here at short notice instead of camping whilst on my way north. A warm welcome, comfortable bed, a good breakfast and on my way the next morning. The room may have been a bit cool for some, but didn't pursue the issue as it was still warmer and drier than a tent in the hills.

We always enjoy our stay with Sue and Warren and once again their hospitality was second to none with a comfortable room and excellent breakfast. As usual, it was great to catch up with them again and to enjoy visiting a lovely part of the country.

Fantastic for the travellers to the Lake District and the city of Carlisle is only a stone's throw away. The hosts are wonderful people and the breakfast is gorgeous. The Plough Inn in the village of Wrea is a must.
